i'm so excited. i've missed this show so much.

i feel it's the one time we come together john :(

There's no greater power than the power of (the) GOOD WIFE

Makes it all the more SPECIAL, surely

- That was... almost Will-like.

- Thank you, Diane.

Very good episode. Nothing amazing, but a great introduction to the 2nd half of the season.

Well I thought that was pretty much the perfect hour of TV. The promo for the next ones looks even better though! Glad this whole election fraud thing isn't going to be dragged out until the end of the season (although having it done away with so early does also make me think the producers are making PLANS).

Anyway yeah, it's pretty much everything I expect from current TGW. A case with about 20 plot twists, that always feels exciting and interesting because it sheds light on some ridiculous quirk of the law. It was all the better of course because of how it ties together EVERY aspect of the out of course stuff too: Kalinda and Carey, Alicia and Will, Will and Peter, Eli and Alicia, Marilyn being a self righteous bitch, Florrock Agos V LG. A lack of Diane though, but I guess that will be made up for in the coming episodes if the promo is anything to go by. This MOST SHOCKING TGW MOMENT EVER thing seems like it's underplaying Hitting The Fan a little as that will take some doing to outDRAMA.

Could the most shocking moment be Alicia actually going to jail?

People thought this would be cancelled? Think again.

Yay. It's horrible to think I wouldn't have been too bothered this time last year. CBS really do seem proud of the show, and obviously aren't bothered about the ratings TOO much. I really don't see it going anywhere as long as it remains the best show on network television. It's still the only one up there with cable, right?

I'm sure the current sublime season has helped it out. Probably going to end up being its best season?

Word out there that the rest of the season is incredibly strong and more gritting than ever.

Cannot. Wait.

Oh yay, but then I was also ALL OVER most of S4 too when I know most of you lot weren't. The last 10/12 episodes were truly great and made up for all the Marc Warren/DEBT crap of the first half.

Is there anything better than watching a show you love reach a new peak in it's fifth (!) season?

Fantastic episode.

Was that the first episode with no court scenes? :o It set up the next episode perfectly, I really can't wait!

It definitely felt like a 'middle act' episode this week, but when THAT is your middle act, well, you know you're onto a winner. I cannot help but be filled with glee (and possibly let out a little squeal too) when Elsbeth does her little 'HA, GOT YOU' by throwing some insane legal jargon in someone's face, kind of feels nice for her to be the one to have bagged Rayna.

Next week looks like an absolute cracker though, I have no idea what's going to happen. I HOPE it's the end of the voting fraud thing, it's a great storyline, but not the kind of thing that needs to be dragged on for another 7/8 episodes. I also want everyone to come out of it okay, but clearly either Peter or Will won't (or maybe NEITHER will).

This is still consistently the best show on TV. The acting is superb.

Elsbeth is amazing. She should be in every episode.

To say the episode took a turn I did not expect is rather an understatement. Not sure how I feel about it yet, though.

Shocked.

So perfectly executed.

I'll post in spoilers now..

Although Will was not one of my favorite characters - I was blown away! Didn't see it coming AT ALL. Surprised they were able to keep this under-wraps so well.

I remember thinking in the first 15 minutes of the show "I thought this was The Good Wife, why am I seeing so much Will? Than bam! - LITERALLY!

It seemed like such a random episode to kill Will off. They could have made it a cliff hanger before the Olympics. Or even at the end of the season (read there are only a few episodes left this season anyways).

I'm still thinking about it 12 hours later. Something about last nights episode was golden

Edited by Aaron.

I don't know what to say. I'm pretty devastated and I finished it at like 1pm so, mood killed for the rest of the day :(
