I HATE PETER FLORRICK. That's the main message this episode conveyed to me, he's just so massively unlikeable. I guess that's the point, but I'd rather he just fell under a bus and Cary took over, he does the same thing with Lockhart/Gardner, but he does it with charm/wit.

As for the bulk of the episode, it was nice to have the story kick up a gear with the case against Will and Diane finding out about Will/Alicia and the not so subtle hinting to Will that she knows. Miss Tascioni was marvellous too, she played the ditzy woman who's actually a genius thing perfectly.

Season 3 is really starting to get good now. Episode 8 was probably the best of the season thus far. The Carey/Kalinda storyline taking a new direction. One wonders/assumes she is doing it purely to help Will but can we be sure? Diane/Will/Alicia/Eli/Peter interactions regarding Alicia/Will's affair are only going to get deeper and more interesting too.

Huzzah. Cannot wait for episode 9!

Indeed, everything is hotting up now. There's so many different possibilities about how every could pan out too, it's very exciting.

I love how thought provoking this show can be sometimes, the scenes with Alicia on about the death penalty and how they could be her daughters got me thinking. I can't have been paying enough attention though as the case itself left me a bit confused. Kalinda & Carey go well together but I think I'd prefer her to get it on with one of her female friends instead.

Next weeks episode does look very good regarding the Will/Alicia storyline.

FUCK ME, what a good episode. Easily the best of the series thus far. Diane was on absolute FIRE throughout. Her scenes with Will and Eli made the episode. Very interesting and engaging case too. I love how we have established characters returning too such as the frosty judge and the quasi evil Wendy Scott-Carr. The Carey/Kalinda plot/love triangle continues to build the psychological mind games.

*.* for this programme and a special bonus *.* for Diane Lockhart

Agreed with everything here. I was worried a few weeks ago about the direction they were heading but everything is falling into place wonderfully and the case didn't feel like an afterthought (well, the cheese thing wasn't exactly exciting but they're setting the story up). Diane was incredible throughout, seriously, every scene was a knockout.

No episode for two weeks. Grace has only gone and got herself abducted. I'm betting Kalinda helps and they rekindle their friendship. I feel like they're going to make Alicia look negligent and then Jackie will swoop in and start plotting.

Michael J Fox!

Looking at some of the theories in the comments for that video it sounds like it could potentially play a big role in some of the current stories. Should also be another great performance from Julianna. Can't wait.

I also agree with E09 being the best of the season so far.

Oh my GOD, what an episode. So many brilliant scenes. Naturally I was loving every second of Diane being a major QoL, it made up for the lack of her in recent weeks and then some.

LOVED the return of Wendy too, she plays a bitch so well. I forgot quite how well she does it actually, but her talking to Diane was wonderful. Jackie is a right old bitch too, I hope we get some more fabulous scenes between her and Alicia in the coming weeks. I suspect we will if the story pans out as expected.

So yeah, count me in the list of people hailing this as the best epiosde this season so far.

Looks like the next episode will be Julianna's Emmy episode.

Great episode this week,

too bad Grace wasn't kidnapped and killed. Her character does nothing for me.

Well the promo was a bit misleading! I think that made it all a bit anti-climatic for me. The case was alright, the best part was the return of both Michael J Fox & Martha. Next week looks really good unless the promo is being slightly misleading again.

The ending was very good though, I think

Alicia definitely did the right thing

.

I know I've said it about every single episode so far, but I do mean in it in each and every case, but that was great.

Even though the stuff with Grace didn't turn out as expected, it was still really tense and brought some great acting from all involved (except Grace, natch). Great to see M J Fox back too, he and Alicia have such great chemistry, even if he is a total c**t.

Another stunning episode. This is shaping up to be the best series so far. Surely it has to PEAK soon?!
WOW at so much of that. Loving the Diane/Alicia relationship, hopefully it means more time for QoL Baranski. Wendy Scott Carr is quite possibly one of the BIGGEST BITCHES I have ever seen on TV. Her chat Will and in particular the judge were just brilliant, that's the sort of thing this show does so well.
Agreed, best episode thus far. This season is going from strength to strength after a slow start. I'm sure Diane has her own motivations for keeping Alicia close, but I definitely like seeing them together.

My favourite episode of the series thus far. Really does get better, week-by-week. My favourite thing on television at the moment. The characterisation is phenomenal. It holds a lot of the qualities I adore in 'Mad Men' coming to think about it...
The tension in that episode was glorious, it was left right and centre! Lovely to see Elsbeth back too, she's such a fun character, but SO aware, it's ridiculous. I want her to TAKE DOWN that BITCH Wendy. It was nice to see a sort of/sort of not romance for Diane too, my God she looked fabulous in that 'fur' trimmed coat! David Lee is wonderful too, what an absolutely arrogant DICK of a man, yet somehow he always has me rooting for him.

All I could think about was how much you were probably SPAZZING over the amount of Diane screen-time.

Another great episode this week! The season is heading in an interesting direction (Will is clearly hiding something) and there's certainly no other network show that is this consistent with it's quality.

A pretty great episode all round but the scene with Elsbeth & Wendy was my favourite, Wendy is such a great bitch and one I really like for what she is.

David Lee on the other hand, I don't seem to like him in any way.
