July 28, 200618 yr OMG! That is like saying "has anybody ever breathed before?" What an amazing movie! The ONLY one worth your time is the first one. August 7, 200618 yr This is not just a childhood favorite for me but THE childhood favorite. The film I discovered at 5 and probably watched 100 times before I was 12. And every single time I cried when the horse died, laughed when the turtle sneezed, held my breath when he ran through that portal, and got totally creeped out by that wolf creature. The film is definitely funny, sad, scary, and joyous all at once. Of course in more recent viewings I couldn't help but chuckle at the cheese level. When the horse died, cut to Bastian WEEPING as he reads. Also the "SAY MY NAME!" line is kind of bizarre. But as a child I worshipped this movie! Anyway I've seen II (it's good) and III (terrible).

I got two of The Never Ending Story over the weekend free in the Daily Mail. they are doing a different fantasy film everyday
