Really interested to hear this, I'm expecting an uptempo but the last time they did a song for a film soundtrack they delivered the almighty Rule The World
Great news and i look forward to heariing it, for me i doubt it will be as good as rule the world as thats almost unbeatable for me but none the less i hope its good.

yeah this is great news! so this means that there is a repacking of Progress in the pipeline with Love Love acting in the same way Rule The World did.

Apparently the Take That twitter site is stating that it can be downloaded from may 11????? is that too soon? surely unless they do some serious PROMO this time for it then many fans wont even know about it unless it picks up supreme radio play (even tho i have no idea when it will get its first play if its released in a couple of weeks?)

Hopefully this will challenge for the number 1 spot when it is released as Take That fans will buy it as its not on the normal version of Progress and it is almost a certainty that it will be used in the Progress tour!

p.s Here's the single release schedule for may

Hopefully its a strong song, the fact it isnt available on the album may give it a fighting chance of number 1 hopefully, id love another take that number 1 but its hard to know if they will get it.

I wonder if they're still relevant enough to iTunes users to ever get another? The Flood really should have been one but it only sold 60k on its first week didn't it or thereabouts. It was constantly propped up in the top ten by X Factor performances but it deserved so much more from its own merit imo.

They're definitely more of an album/tour selling act now, hit singles are just a bonus I guess.

I agree, they are now an albums and tour act mainly and singles are a bonus. The flood sold 69,484 copies in its first week (on its own merit) and the 2nd week it sold 87,453 which was the week following its debut x factor performance, on week 3 sales decline to 47,817. The flood sold quite well overall though and is very near 500,000 sales so they can still still singles but its mainly the lead singles.

They in some ways relevant on itunes as kidz made low top 30 on itunes and happy now had a #21 peak on the back of one performance so if they release the right material i think they can do well on sites such as itunes, rule the world still often appears in the itunes top 100 aswell so you never know.

Again though i dont think they concentrate on hit singles anymore, phase 1 a single not making number 1 would have worried them and a single only going top 20 would have been a nightmare but the music industry has changed since then, while their singles are not as successful overall as they were first time round the album sales have nearly tripled so it makes up for it and i guess there is more money to be made from a successful album than single.

While kidz did chart low it has built up sales, at present i think its roughly on 75,000...... but i do hope the new single can return them to number 1 and do well on itunes aswell.

To be fair though, the majority of Take That fans were waiting for the album which came a week after The Flood, and that sold half a million in a week. If the The Flood was released like Rule the World without an album (or a completely new album) then im sure it would have gone number1.

I wonder who will be on lead vocals...it does sound like a Gary song and he was the one who took it to the Xmen director, but Robbie will have to be involved in the song somewhere as well im guessing...

i just hope they don't f*ck up the release of it like they did with the flood and kidz but its looking that way.

so we can download it on a wednesday?(why not monday?) there will be no physical copies released the same time as the download (which is strange as physicals still play a large role in take that's sales) and no news on any promo before the release or news on a video.

If this song is hitting iTunes in under 2 weeks they better get their sh!t together or it could be another single that falls flat on its face..

Ya i see what you are saying, the single releases especially kidz have been messy, ie promo before release, none during the week of release and phyisical coming out far to late, hopefully that doesnt happen with the new song. The one thing though is with the tour coming up the lads wont be able to do any promo so that may have a negative effect, hopefully though its a strong song, good video and it gets good airplay.

yeah i hope its got a rule the world type feel to it and moves away slightly from the electro

they need to get the video out the week before and get promotiong, they'll probably promote the tour on talkshows etc and then perform the new song (a bit like they did with said it all before the circus tour)

I think the expectations for this new song will be high, given the fact its a sound track and many people will inevitably be wanting something similar to rule the world. Whether or not we get that is yet to be known but I doubt it will match the success of that song.

Ya i kind of agree with this, and it will be hard although not impossible to come up with something as strong as rule the world, the fact that it is part of a soundtrack will definitly increase expectations of the song.

And if they hadn't moved the release of the single then it would have flown past jls to number 1

Ya they would have probably beaten jls if they didnt, but i guess its too late now, at the end of the day jls got the number1 but take that outsold them overall by around 200,000.
I heard the music from the trailer of the film. I think it will be more "progress" than "Rule the world", as the feeling of the film is totally different. This si an action film not a romantic one  . If they keep with the producer of the Progress, i see only little chance to be on my range of musical interest
Well i guess we will have to wait and see, going by the sounds of things we will be getting an electro style number but that isnt a bad thing, ohhhhhhhhhhhh i just wana hear it now so i know what it is like.

Take That to unveil new single at Movie Awards

Take That will premiere new single 'Love Love' at the National Movie Awards next week, it has been confirmed.

It coincides with director Matthew Vaughn's decision to select the track for upcoming superhero movie X-Men: First Class.

In a statement, the band commented: "We're really happy to be asked back to perform at the National Movie Awards, it's always a great night.

"It'll be the first time that we perform our brand new song 'Love Love', so we're looking forward to getting out there and singing it live for everyone."

The National Movie Awards will be held next Wednesday at Wembley Arena in London, and also screened on ITV1 at the same time.

i still think they should release it on a monday and give it the best chance possible to go number 1...
