May 10, 201114 yr Author 09 - Believe was awful, but Sognu is worse for me sadly. I didn't mind Molitva, but Verka should have won that year purely because he had far more success in Europe post contest with the song. 20 - Yeah! It'll be a great background CD. 24 - They should, it depends if they ever find out about it :( 48 - Something must have gone wrong somewhere if an interval track can chart as a single  . 64 - Fair enough! It does deserve to have more recognition at least, it's a perfect summer song! 9. :( I hated Verka, Molitva was at least alright for me  Not exactly a vintage year for the contest though...you know something's up when Belarus and Bulgaria turn in two of my favourite entries  24. Radio 2 are doing their best, she was their most played artist last week and has been a few times in the past! She can only get so far with their support though... 48. It is very bizarre isn't it  Sales must be horribly low there. Why would you cherry pick the entire album, why not just buy the album!?! 64. I agree, really should have been released here back in 2008 though...

I compiled my top 100 Eurovision songs of all time this week because I was quite bored, and there were 7 entries from 2007 - Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Georgia, Ireland (I liked it!), UK and Cyprus. 24 - That is true, she needs Radio 1 support immediately, and I don't know why they don't support her - the youth of The Netherlands like her, and I reckon a lot of younger people in this country would too! 48 - I know! Unless maybe there was some weird offer on where the tracks were the same price as the entire album? 64 - Definitely. I can't understand why it didn't get as big a push here :(

I loved Ireland too - purely the studio version though! It went top 15 in my chart and hung around for a fair while...if I was to do a top 100, I doubt many from 2007 would feature...Russia, Bulgaria, Belarus and UK (so underrated :( At least it returned them to the UK top 5, although I'll never understand how to this day!) definitely would though, possibly Sweden too. 24. She's never going to get it, they probably see her as irrelevant. As soon as she starts singing club bangers and gets a generic US rapper on the case, they'll be on board! 48. Could be? It's a very strange state of affairs though, I'll be interested to see how the tracks all fare on the next Swedish chart, perhaps they'll all disappear  64. She abandoned us for the US and has only remembered about us now her new album's flopped there :(

Maybe they'll all be replaced by Eurovision songs? 64 - Oh right. Well I hope her next UK release has Pocketful on it as I'm yet to have that on CD.

She was tone deaf, her voice was cracking up all over the place - I found it unbearable to watch  Deserved nul points for the performance, it was far worse than Jemini were in 2003! I agree that the newer studio version is the best version though! 24. I think she's far too classy for that, thankfully :D 48. It's quite possible! Although MF made less of an impact on their chart this year than usual, maybe they're going off it after all of these flops they keep having...I'm not sure that this year's contest has many European hits amongst the pack - I Can, Sognu and Haba Haba probably have the most chance to be post-contest hits but the former isn't available on iTunes or to buy on CD anywhere but in the UK at the moment :( I don't see anything being the international #1 smash that Fairytale and Satellite both were though... 64. It's being tacked on for the UK release of her new album Strip Me :D

I Can could have been, but the bizarre staging will put everyone off I think. 64 - Excellent! :D

Not that they'd have been playing them live of course, rather imitating playing them along to the backing track  They did all look very cheery though and it was a colourful performance, very nice to watch on mute I'm sure  48. I Can should be a reasonable hit I expect even with the staging, Europe as we know still support acts who have had sucess there, even after a few years of flops - James Blunt, Amy MacDonald, Depeche Mode etc...I reckon they'd have had a European comeback hit even without taking part in the contest, certainly in Italy. Sognu might do well chartwise though, even though it doesn't exactly sound like a typical European hit
May 10, 201114 yr Hey :) Wynter finally top3 :o :D So do you now prefer Saxobeat to Get Back? I really like the Pitbull and Ne-Yo track, I though it would be doing better here tbh. Some good entries this week, especially Arms and We Run The Night. I don't love them, but they're decent songs. Good chart! :D

Yep, although I suspect #3 will be her peak...great song though! Yes and no. Mr Saxobeat is now being exposed in the UK, thus I'm hearing/listening to/loving it more. If and when Get Back gets a UK release, I expect it will repeak! I love the intro of the Pitbull track, and bits of the song, it might climb a bit more but I'm a bit all 'club bangered out' at the moment

Is Pocketful Of Sunshine being released in the UK? It would've done really well if it was released back in 2008. Great chart as always! Thanks West. It's a bit strange  To get a hit in the UK, you have to be either from the US, the UK or Romania it would seem! Not sure, although it's being pushed in mainland Europe at the moment - 3 years too late but still :o

Sognu might do well chartwise though, even though it doesn't exactly sound like a typical European hit  48 - Hmm, if France win I can see it doing a Molitva and sinking without a trace :heehee:
