May 12, 201114 yr Pon De Floor is a classic. It's sickening that Diplo allowed Beyonce to warble all over it for her release - her track is totally misjointed and a painful listen.
May 13, 201114 yr They're pretty much the same song. I listened to 'Pon De Floor' a few weeks ago, and it's pretty much an instrumental version of 'Run the World (Girls)'. Yeah, exactly. I can't understand how you can love one, and hate the other. It's like loving Airplanes and hating Love the Way You Lie. Pon De Floor is a classic. It's sickening that Diplo allowed Beyonce to warble all over it for her release - her track is totally misjointed and a painful listen. Oh course he'd let her. Diplo, being an urban producer, has to be pro-sampling. Edited May 13, 201114 yr by Eric_Blob
May 16, 201114 yr I love Pon De Floor and hate Run The World. Yes they may be similar but Run The World has Beyonce's vocals on it and it just doesn't suit her :puke: :puke: This. Her vocals just don't fit the track IMO. I'm a big fan of sampling, but I love to hear a new vocal track or slight instrumentation changes that ENHANCE the original song, not just simply tacking vocals onto an original instrumental. (Although, that does work out sometimes - see Happiness by Alexa Jordan. Love Brazil, love that song)
