I'm pleasently surprised, that, for once, most of my favourite songs haven't ended up in the bottom 10!!!! :cheer:

I think I'll go for The Rasmus now.

I think I'll go for The Rasmus now.

That's my mate's favourite song of all time! He will be disappointed when he hears of this!!!

Oh no. I feel really bad now. Sorry. :(

Eric Prydz!!! I can only echo what I said last round about this horrible, tacky piece of $h!t :puke2:

I don't really care about any of the songs that have gone so far either, but I do think Frankee deserved to last a little longer. Poor girl. It's bad enough she had to go through an awful relationship with that dick Eamon without being so hated by the world too :(

I agree. Both Frankee and Eamon's songs never bothered me that much, although I expected them to be out early anyway.

Were they actually in a relationship?! :o People always said she faked it, and that's what I always assumed too!

the list is looking a lot better, now most of the $h!te's gone

I'll go with Cassidy- Hotel, purely on the grounds that I've never heard of it

I don't think Frankee was actually in a relationship with Eamon- she just used that to get attention and sure enough, it worked

I'll echo this - the song is a vile, cheesy pile of sludge that Sharon and Darrens play on their Misery of Sound compilations from the open windows of Ford Corsas...... and don't even get me started on the rancid video.....

Agreed. Now that I've looked up most of these, (most recently looked up O-Zone, and it's another one of those I know very well, but had no clue what song it actually was before), it's actually a pretty good list left, although there are still a few more mediocre songs left to weed out.

Voted for Eric Prydz - Call on Me, but I didn't see one of the most annoying songs ever on there: O-Zone - Dragostea din tei. If that's still in next time, I'll vote that out then.
Noooooo Eric Prydz & DJ Casper are both great dance songs and in my top 5 for this round, but they are looking likely to fall out before the proper $h!te that is McFly. :puke: C'mon BJ I thought you had some taste. Not to mention the awful screeching voice of Anasacia's will probably make the top 5 :nocheer: :???:

Me too. I love Call on Me, Cha Cha Slide and Dragostea Din Tei.

Usher - Burn

I doubt many others will vote for this for a while but this was one of the most forgettable songs to hit #1 in 2004. Everytime I try to remember how it goes, I end up humming 'U Got It Bad' instead. :manson:

Forgettable songs don't usually pick up votes until the middle of the round, I'm 60% sure 'Burn' will leave after 'Yeah' simply because everyone remembers Yeah and many of those people hate it and hated songs always go out first. I like 'Yeah' so hopefully what I said isn't true ;)

Great dance song? It's a cheap generic beat set to an irritating looped sample, topped off with, as russt68 correctly points out, a completely nasty video. What is great about that? It's awful.

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of dance music anyway - but the only dance record worth listening to here for me is easily Lola's Theme. Eric Prydz (and to a lesser extent LMC and Boogie Pimps) are all rubbish :puke:

I don't mind DJ Casper though, but that's borderline on novelty/cheese so it will never do well here. Same with O-Zone really.

And I hope Yeah! doesn't go soon. It's actually my favourite song here, along with Dry Your Eyes, Hey Ya! and Trick Me.

Well imo the video to 'Call On Me' is one of the best ever, I love dance music videos  And I like a bit of 00s novelty :heehee:

Saying that, I'm a fan of your favourites. I didn't really like Dry Your Eyes at the time because it was slow and was disappointing compared to Fit But You Know It which I loved  Now I love it, it's a great break-up song and the lyrics are more understandable now I'm a bit older, I guess. It's a bit of a shame that people haven't followed their style , I like how he talks in the verses instead of doing proper rapping. :rap: (I guess if people did I would be complaining "why do people never do proper rapping" however)

I remember being in the car listening to the chart show when Trick Me lost out on the top spot and was disappointed. Kelis was great back then, I'd love to drink her milkshake  And for Hey Ya!, well that's a modern day classic imo and will never be forgotten
