Turkey, russia and Armenia missing out

Turkey out?!??!!?

And Norway :(

And Armenia :( I grew to love the dark horse of the Armenian family of incredible entrants.

WHAT. THE. f***. Just cause some random Icelandic guy died that $h!te beats one of the best ESC songs of the past few years (Haba Haba). I had an inkling Norway would miss out though :( NU ANNA BERGENDAHL :nocheer:

wow shocked that Turkey, Armenia and NORWAY failed :o

I actually liked them all :/

and Croatia too :( gonna miss Poland in the final also.

happy about Serbia, Russia and Georgia making the final.

Norway not qualifying is the biggest surprise. I never thought it was brilliant but still good enough for the final over some of those that got through.

YAYAYAYAA!!!!!!!!

Oh GOD, that bloody terrible 'Eurovision is racist' debate's going to come back now, isn't it? :(
Oh god and Poland failed :( Love Jestem - in the furore of poor brave Stella being ousted I forgot the other travesty! :( Austria, Hungary, Sweden, UK and Ireland for top 5 :cheer:

Pleasing results on the whole, Norway aside all the songs I considered listenable have qualified it seems, plus Hungary and Serbia were my only real concerns either way.

Greece and Georgia are really the only ones I'd say I wa unhappy to see qualify.

One of my big favourites didn't make it, but thankfully Hungary, Russia and Azerbaijan did: and that's all that matters. ECSTATIC that Switzerland made it through though! Overall a pretty good set of qualifiers:

Serbia

Russia

Switzerland

Georgia

Finland

Iceland

Hungary

Lithuania

Azerbaijan

Greece

NOTHING from the first five slots. I'm putting down Norway to a poor performance in the death slot of 2nd. I'm also really surprised (but not upset) that Lithuania made it, as I thought it could possibly do at first a few months back before writing it off completely in the last month or so. It really shouldn't have gone through at Norway's expense though.

1) BOLLOCKS. Norway not getting through is ridiculous. Biggest shock of the night.

2) SO glad Hungary got through! Nerves got the better of Kati tonight, it was painful to watch, hopefully she'll perform better on Saturday night and get that Top 5 finish.

3) I actually quite like Georgia's entry. :o

4) Sarah Cox.

Turkey out?!??!!?

And Norway :(

And Armenia :( I grew to love the dark horse of the Armenian family of incredible entrants.

Armenia have always been good. Honestly not a year I haven't liked

Haba Haba may have suffered from going on second, i.e. the death slot - I do hope it doesn't have the same effect on Nadine Belier on Thursday...it's never been an absolute favourite of mine and I can't say that I care overmuch about it missing out, although it is a massive shock.

I'm so glad and shocked for Switzerland, Iceland and Lithuania, seriously - they all put in unexpectedly great performances!

And I'm ridiculously shocked/pleased at Turkey failing, finally this is becoming more of a song contest and less of a diaspora contest, that was their weakest entry in years and deserved to fail, likewise Armenia.
