Out of tonight's eliminations, I think Poland and San Marino are the viable candidates to miss out altogether next year.

and Norway lol

Really? :P

San Marino are very likely to withdraw I think, but I reckon Poland will stick it out another year. Switzerland would've probably considered it if Anna hadn't made it.

San Marino only, unless they did alright (ie. finished 11th-12th).
If anything, tonight proved that almost any country CAN make it with a great song/vocal/performance, I'd like to see all countries stick it out for another year and up their game. Stand By, whilst pleasant, was never going to ruffle any feathers.

I think that due to their finances Slovakia will also be gone even if they qualify unless they get a respectable result.

I can't see them qualifying, so they're out

Got a horrible feeling that unless they by some miracle come top 10, Italy will be out for another 14 years. They're stroppy like that.

I think maybe Hungary will be out next year as well
And if they win? :P I think they were pretty happy to qualify, if they come top 15 in the final they'll surely stay.
Hungary couldn't affort a national final, how will they affort Eurovision?

After tonight I think it's safe to say Slovakia will miss 2012 and Bulgaria will probably have had enough.
Slovakia and FYR Macedonia are most likely I think.

lol no way :P

not for another year I think :) as our broadcaster was already thinking about the format for our 2012 NF since few month a go :P

I agree on Slovakia though...

and maybe even Belarus or Bulgaria :/

The Netherlands will almost certainly be considering it, won't they?! The way they saw 3JS, tonight's result would be the equivalent of us sending Jade and her having finished 25th...

3JS was a bit disappointing tonight, but I guess that's beside the point.

Surely Italy will be running off with their tail between their legs as soon as they *gasp* don't come top 5.

I'd say Armenia withdraws certainly because of their situation with the host.

Also, The Netherlands and FYR Macedonia might aswell due to sistematic poor results and lack of funding...

Hungary might have another break aswell... It happened after NOX.

San Marino & Slovakia, neither have seen the final in the past few years and neither came very close to qualifying. Poland maybe, last in the semi, last time they made the final they came joint last. Maybe Armenia, but I hope they can see past their problems with the host.

Wikipedia seems to be saying that The Netherlands have confirmed? Italy are staying now after that unexpected great result (fix just so that they stay, anyone? :kink:), Austria will also stay with their qualification, likewise for Switzerland I assume. Belgium & Malta being 1pt from qualifcation, and both have been in the final recently, they'll stay.

Unless the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is settled (which it clearly won't be) then Armenia probably will sit it out - actually, remember a few years ago when the Azeris interrogated people for voting for Armenia? Will they even let Armenia compete?!
