I'll go with Burn by Usher- as you can probably tell, I'm not a huge fan of these 'slow jams' which seemed to clog up the charts in 2004

The Streets

I'm torn. Now Nelly's out, I actually don't know what to vote for. Eminem is tempting, but while it's the worst of his comedy rap, I still like it. There's a lot of averagely bland female singers, but I have no idea which one to pick, and I'll likely be alone in whatever one I pick. Usher's Yeah is alright, but Burn slightly less so. Not a huge fan of Outkast, or LMC. Decisions, decisions.

Usher 'Burn' to go this round. I don't mind if Eminem goes as it's one of his worst singles but The Streets 'DYE' is amazing :wub: it is one of the best breakup songs ever and has some great meaningful lyrics. 'Burn' sounded like almost everything else at the time but Streets had originality and don't deserve to go out so soon

I'm surprised Eminem lasted this long tbh. The song really isn't that good.

 

Although this bodes well, since it's by FAR the worst song he'll have in any of these polls, and I'm sure nearly everyone agrees, so all his other songs should at least finish in the top 20, based on this! :D

 

Let's ignore Smack That from all this, of course. That song had Akon's name associated with it, causing most members on Buzzjack to lose the ability of rational thinking.

I'd say it's more because there was a lot more stuff people hated in 2004. In 2006, I'm pretty sure Just Lose It would have gone in the first 10 songs as well. I mean, compare the same stage in 2006 when we were already losing the likes of Christina Aguilera and Girls Aloud!! (and yes, I know GA have been eliminated in 2004, but that was with a ballad and a cover, not a dance-pop song).

 

So I don't think you can take anything from it. In fact, I think Without Me and the Real Slim Shady will both do similar or even worse in 2000 and 2002 (despite being better songs) because there's less there to be offensive to BuzzJack members. Stan and Lose Yourself will probably do better, as Eminem's songs in his Slim Shady persona seem to be more hated, at least by his non-fans.

 

Anyway, if Eminem goes and The Streets go after him, that'll be five R&B/hip hop songs gone in a row :lol: Deary me. And I was surprised almost none of it went in the first 10.

Yeah, definitely. My Band is so much better aswell (i.e. it's actually funny, the beat is soooo much better, the lyrics are really well-written in comparison, the hook is much better), but I can't imagine people here loving one, and hating the other. :( They probably just hear rapping and zone out. :lol:
