Some of you may call this grime/hip-hop but it's definately danceable and great for a club. This is Wiley's best ever song, it's a real shame he's got worse with every single

SHM were the first to make this beat and tune, and it took over the clubs before they added Pharrell. The song works really well as an instrumental but vocals are not too bad (same with Riverside but I posted the instrumental video as its better). Despite only peaking at 4 in my personal charts, it made my YE top 20

The video to this tune has added vocals which I don't like, the whole 7.30 instrumental has had 68 plays on my iTunes and I discovered it on "A Decade of Trance Anthems; Euphoria", last year. It's an amazing instrumental and doesn't need vocals at all!

 Matt Cardle. If it wasn't for him this song would have peaked at number 2, after Cardle's performance of JTWYA Bruno jumped to 2, and 1 the next week. Diva Fever are also to blame for putting people off buying the song with their rubbish cover that got them out the show. Enough on XF, onto the song itself, it has a great beat (of course it would if AVH is on the track) and it wouldn't be as good as it is if they didn't shout the title of the song. On my personal chart it peaked at number 1 for 2 weeks and was YE number 6.

UK - 7-13-17-22-25-26-32-31-26-29-42-54-72-x-73 (14 weeks)

This song was THE weekend anthem at the time, and it was a great one (the current weekend anthem is RB 'Friday', love it or hate it) Michael Gray chose a bad time to release however, as it was one of eight new entries in the top ten. Sadly the charts back then were so frontloaded.

This is amazing trance here, the video is still great even if its really simple. The song itself is an instrumental but the melody/tune in this makes the song as amazing as it is

The song itself is good, but the video is a 10/10 and PS' lyrics go well with the vid. This song is one of the times where cheesy 'i'm so good' lyrics work with the song.

This tune is good with vocals but is also excellent without (The Egg 'Walking Away (Tocadisco Remix)' is basically the same song but with vocals taken out). Back then I thought David Guetta was the guy singing  It's actually Chris Willis who doesn't get credited.

It's him again! This time with Rihanna. The production in this is amazing and original and I love Rihanna's autotuned vocals. Rihanna normally doesn't do this style of music (she normally does pop-dance like OG and S&M) but she's definitely good at it. The song has shown lots of longevity but it could have had at least a week top 5 :(

This is the best hardcore song ever, and the first hardcore song I ever heard. Gareth Gates stopped it from having 2 weeks at number one sadly. Songs with lots of bass and a loud beat are never a bad thing. This needs to do well in the upcoming 00s rate, its that good

A great house instrumental here which just missed out on T20 for me. It's very catchy and the video is a 6/10

The 8:45 'monster mix' is the best version of this song. The rap in the song is excellent and so is the instrumental hook, both of these making Insomnia a club favourite and dance classic. In total it's spent 53 weeks in the chart (most in 2005)

I first heard, and saw, this song on a video channel. And I was AMAZED! The video is definitely an 11/10. The song itself is very good, it is more than satisfying and this song peaking at number 2 behind Beyonce's third week is another reason to hate on Beyonce. Benny originally gave up after his follow up peaking at the great heights of 40 but he's now back in the charts with Chris Brown with 'Beautiful People' which has been massive despite peaking only at 4

Nice list so far, especially BBE :D

Careful with the genre descriptions, Meet Her At The Love Parade and Zombie Nation are also trance.

Forget '9PM', it's all about this song! I discovered it last summer and it was a big tune for me, having 37 plays to date on my iTunes. It still sounds great and it's a perfect Summer tune. It might have done better if it wasn't released in October.

The first appearance of my favourite three hit wonder, Fedde Le Grand. The song itself is great, I love the video too - the purple works really well. Ida Corr was a good vocalist too.

A great pop/dance meets hardcore track which deserved all its weeks at number one. A listen of this song now and again is always good. Unfortunately the rest of Basshunter's songs were below average, and how he beat Coldplay to the album number one is a bit of a mystery.

This was a massive hit down under, spending 2 weeks at number 2 on the Australian charts. It took a while for us to catch on, but luckily we did - because it's a great tune, even if the lyrics are cheesy.

The video is a spoof of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller', but the song itself samples Rockwell's song of the same name. It is imo one of the best 80s samples, but there is more to come.

Another song with a large sample, this time it samples ELO. This version is a great house/dance song and the video is great, I started rollerblading around that time so that video was probably inspiration (but it wasn't the reason I started rollerblading ofc). It is the 2nd best song called 'Shine' that I know of, Take That's song of the same obviously being first.
