May 14, 201114 yr I got an awful feeling Jedward will win everyones talking bout their performance and its been stuck in my head since Thursday although if they do I hope the backing singers get most credit cos without them it would sound worse than what it does. I'm hoping UK top 3 at least, Georgia really grown on me lately and Estonia has the beat, the catchy lyrics, the gimmicky set and routine to win but being so early could stop that
May 14, 201114 yr I have a feeling the Top 5 will be awfully close tonight though. Its going to be so exciting. :D Yea, 2009 and 2010 were pretty obvious, this year is much more exciting.
May 14, 201114 yr Estonia has the beat, the catchy lyrics, the gimmicky set and routine to win but being so early could stop that Being early doesn't stop Jedward then?
May 14, 201114 yr I'd be very surprised if Jedward finish in the Top 10. I can't see the Jury's taking to it. I do predict that the UK (and ONLY the UK) will award Ireland one of the Top 3 scores though (8, 10 or 12). Wouldn't be at all be surprised if it did end up being 12.
May 14, 201114 yr I just realised that Moldova are in final with those Pet Shop Boys -esque hats. Shame their song is what it is. Edited May 14, 201114 yr by SKOB
May 14, 201114 yr I just realised that Moldova are in final with those Pet Shop Boys -esque hats. Shame their song is what it is. I don't think Moldova's song is half as bad at what some people are making out. Its just the silly hats, and that girl on the one wheeled bike thing that lets them down...
May 14, 201114 yr So You Think You Can Dance is making for a BRILLIANT warm up for Eurovision tonight
May 14, 201114 yr Oh, and yes that Moldova track is as dire as it's being made out to be. Bad vocals on an already poor song is not a good combination.
May 14, 201114 yr Dana's crew should've worn those hats and qualified instead :D Lols of the day come from Youtube "The voting obviously wasn't done on talent or she would have been the first to go through." <- Dana that is Edited May 14, 201114 yr by SKOB
May 14, 201114 yr I love the 'epileptic trumpet' parts in Moldova's song  It's so bad that it's good!
May 14, 201114 yr Quick question for you Eurovision fanatics, a friend of mine asked if postal votes were ever used for deciding the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest? If not, was it used to decide the winner of any of the regional finals?
May 14, 201114 yr Given that they are usually broadcast live on a single night I don't see how postal votes would work.
May 14, 201114 yr While there is no doubt there is alot of hype around jedward i think the hype wont turn into votes, they will do well in the UK vote probably 10 points, but overall i can see them picking up 1 and 2's, im still convinced Ireland will not finish top 10 tonight. Id love Sweden to win tonight, catchy pop song that was performed and song well, that and Denmark are the 2 songs i really really like and then the UK after that there is nothing else that i am majorily fussed on.
May 14, 201114 yr Warm up with a strawberry margarita and my favourite songs :D Do you think Rockefeller Street could stand out? If you think there are Hungary (good song and a great singer) Jedward (good performance, poor-ish song), Saade (very good performance, gorgeous singer but they try a bit too hard) before them? EDIT: 2.000 posts! Edited May 14, 201114 yr by SKOB
May 14, 201114 yr Despite telling myself I wouldnt be this year, I've spent the day reminding myself of some of the best entries of the past few years and am now FULLY excited for this. Basically I've been gaying myself up well and proper. Despite reassurance it wont happen, I remain with my stance that I will disown Eurovision if Jedward win.
May 14, 201114 yr Only 40 mins! Got my nu-sig for the occasion  As you can see, I'm supporting Austria, Germany, Ireland, Sweden, UK and Hungary :cheer:
May 14, 201114 yr Quick question for you Eurovision fanatics, a friend of mine asked if postal votes were ever used for deciding the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest? If not, was it used to decide the winner of any of the regional finals? I remember that the UK's national final had a post card voting system, but pre-televoting the ESC final was just by juries. :)
