January 2, 201213 yr Still waiting on Armenia and Morocco (unlikely) confirmation I think :) Edited January 2, 201213 yr by RC741
January 2, 201213 yr Armenia confirming is unlikely given the contest will be in Azerbaijan this year methinks
January 2, 201213 yr I think the official participants list is announced any day now, it's normally December 31st I think but they changed it this time. I think it'll probably be best (for both sides) if Armenia sit it out, but it could be a shame from a musical stand point as they should submit something good this time if the good bad, good bad pattern continues.
January 2, 201213 yr I want Armenia to enter, as I always like their songs (even Boom Boom - Apricot Stone was the best though!) But I don't want another Georgia in Russia situation (We Don't Wanna Put In-type song) if they do participate. It would be seriously amazing if Morocco entered, but I feel they'll do a Liechtenstein/Kosovo and not enter.
January 2, 201213 yr Morocco were in it before at least: x3e26zZSEws Would love to see them back after 32 years
January 2, 201213 yr Actually YES. Armenia with an anti-Azerbaijan song please. We Don't Wanna Put In was GREAT.
January 3, 201213 yr Well, it all would be pointless, since any anti-Azerbaijani song will be banned instantly. BTW after December's elections 'We Don't Wanna Put in' could well be a Russian anthem now. Best describes what is happening. :D
January 10, 201213 yr Reports saying that tonight, Romania will decide whether they will participate in ESC or not. They may withdraw for financial reasons. Also, there were discussions with Inna to represent them, but she rejected the offer in the end :( I hope they participate, and go and ask Alexandra Stan :) Inna in ESC would have been amazing!
January 10, 201213 yr Possibly, read here: http://esctoday.com/news/read/18073 I'm just annoyed that Inna rejected the chance to be at ESC :( Edited January 10, 201213 yr by Ryan741
January 10, 201213 yr ESC Today comments suggest that Romania has indeed withdrew :( Hopefully it's not true, but I fear it will be - there goes our chance of Alexandra Stan getting her saxobeats out :P
January 13, 201213 yr It's insane how excited I am ALREADY. Watched ESC 2010 Semifinals today and about to watch the whole 2011 show this evening.
January 13, 201213 yr Romania are now LIKELY to be in Baku, but Armenia is still 50/50. Official participation list should be released next week :)
January 13, 201213 yr http://www.oikotimes.com/eurovision/2012/0...ever-an-option/ Romania are here to stay! Which makes it 42 confirmed countries! Morocco and Armenia have not decided yet. If they do it will be a participation record :o Edited January 13, 201213 yr by E v e r d e e n
January 17, 201213 yr Armenia have now confirmed! It means 43 countries, again! There will have to be uneven Semi-finals!
January 17, 201213 yr Armenia have now confirmed! It means 43 countries, again! There will have to be uneven Semi-finals! Morocco definitely out of the picture then?
January 17, 201213 yr There has been an official announcement, so yeah. If only Poland didn't withdraw, we'd have 44 :( The Semi-final allocation draw is taking place in 8 days as well. EXCITEMENT :w00t:
