I hadn't thought anything of this being made until I saw who was involved. Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson, Edgar Wright, Stephen Moffat, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Daniel Craig... WOAH. It has my attention.
I got to say I was pretty ambivalent towards the whole thing, especially with Empire literally wanking over every last little detail of it. The whole project seems to me to be more about the technology involved in the film making, than the film itself. Avatar 2.0. The teaser trailer though has changed my opinion somewhat. I will of course be seeing this opening weekend, as long as the reviews aren't abysmal.

yeah but Avatar had a terrbile script (where as Tintin is written by 3 great British writers), and Avatar had a c**t of a director who doesnt care about films, and Tintin has one of the greatest directors ever. obviously the CGI is incredible in the trailer, but the film will clearly be well made overall where as Avatar was just amazing CGI and nothing else.

Joe Cornish as in Adam & Joe and Attack on the Block?

Looks good I just hope it doesn't flop.

the very same Joe Cornish.

i can't see it flopping really, they will be spending a f*** ton on the marketing, come December and you'll be seeing adverts everywhere.

When I heard about this a while ago I wasn't that excited but watching that Trailer has just made me very excited for it :D Might have to go watch the old cartoons now...
