May 25, 201114 yr Actual LOL She look like a mix of too much plastic surgery and a bit of wonky photoshopping It's the kind of image you'd use for a $3 poster from Walmart Shania has never had ANY plastic surgery!!! If u see her on tv in interviews, she is naturally beautiful, yet still has lines and imperfections (shes 45 afterall!) Stunning woman tho  Oh and apparently there was a 30 second snippet of the actual song on Amazon.com but when i went to check it out...it had been removed :(
May 25, 201114 yr I didn't think she'd even started recording yet. :o And did she lose her voice due to her marriage collapse? Or was it an actual life threatening problem?

Marks First New Single From The Music Superstar In Six Years Los Angeles, CA - OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network viewers will experience the world premiere of the first new single in six years from country/pop superstar Shania Twain during the finale episode of "Why Not? with Shania Twain" airing Sunday, June 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. "Today Is Your Day" will be exclusively available on iTunes immediately following the world premiere on OWN starting Sunday, June 12 at 11 p.m. ET/PT. Mercury Nashville will service the song to country radio stations after the show's airing. "Today Is Your Day" is the first song Twain has written solo in six years, and the creation process for the single was documented throughout the docu-series "Why Not? with Shania Twain" currently airing Sundays on OWN. Twain is seen as she works through the lyrics, meets with vocal doctors and a grief counselor and embarks on unexpected adventures throughout North America that test her courage and self-confidence in an effort to reclaim her life. In an all new episode titled "Finding My Voice" airing this Sunday, June 5 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, Twain has a one-on-one vocal training session with legendary vocal coach Eric Vetro before meeting with famed music producer David Foster to discuss producing her new single "Today is Your Day." Twain then reaches the end of her tour on Sunday, June 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT in the finale episode titled "Endless Love," as she marries Frederic Thiebaud and shares never-before-seen wedding footage from the Bahamas. As Twain faces her final challenge, recording a duet of "Endless Love" with superstar Lionel Richie, she reflects on the journey that has brought her to this point in her life. http://shaniatwain.com/news_archive.html?a...eID=177§ionID=1
June 3, 201114 yr 9 years since her last album :o The preview sounds decent, can't wait for the full thing.
June 3, 201114 yr Does not sound like a good comeback song after 9 years. I'm gutted that it's not a country song. Shania what are you doing to me :( The song itself sounds OK though. I wonder if Shania still has it.. I wonder if her album's gonna sell f***loads.
June 3, 201114 yr Not off the back of that it won't but I'm completely confident that this will just turn out to be a buzz single and we'll get something properly amazing before the album.
June 3, 201114 yr I dont care if its country or not. My fav Shania song is "That Dont Impress Me Much" and I prefer the european pop remix far better than the original country version
June 3, 201114 yr I've always preferred the original That Don't Impress Me Much. It's so laid back and summery. The Euro dance mix was definitely an anthem but it just doesn't quite have that Shania character to it.
June 3, 201114 yr I agree with Jark, I also prefered the original version of That Don't Impress Me Much (by far). I just love the guitar in it. I do prefer the Red disc of Up! over the green one but the green one was hardly country as well... I really want country Shania back! The Woman In Me was FIERCE. Tunes like I'm Outta Here! and You Win My Love are welcome. I've been playing that album alot these las few days. Doesn't get old.

Totally agree. From watching the series, she is nowhere near ready to put out an album. I think this song is a great treat for the fans as a stand alone single, and gives us hope that there will indeed be another album sometime soon
June 3, 201114 yr Today! (Is Your Day) sounds like a pleasnt enough song, but it really doesn't sound like single quality stuff.
June 4, 201114 yr Today! (Is Your Day) sounds like a pleasnt enough song, but it really doesn't sound like single quality stuff. Why do people keep adding exclamation marks and brackets into the song title?? You can see the single cover in the preview on youtube I posted a few posts up. The song is simply titled Today Is Your Day :P
June 4, 201114 yr Because Shania frequently uses exclamation and question marks! In order to be a real Shania song it's need to have at least one punctuation mark, be very long and have something between ( ) :P Thank You Baby! (For Makin' Someday Come So Soon) and (If You're Not In It For Love) I'm Outta Here! are great examples :P Edited June 4, 201114 yr by XXXO

(For Makin' Someday Come So Soon) and (If You're Not In It For Love) I'm Outta Here! are great examples :P lol im a MASSIVE Shania fan...i know all that. But this song doesn't have any of those, you can't just add them randomly to a song when you feel like it :P
June 4, 201114 yr Of course you can. She is the QUEEN of ridiculously punctuated titles, it's simply an HOMAGE to her genius.
June 4, 201114 yr Of course you can. She is the QUEEN of ridiculously punctuated titles, it's simply an HOMAGE to her genius. You got me there!! I wonder if this will be released worldwide on iTunes? So far it only looks like North America will see a release...
June 10, 201114 yr I'm Gonna Getcha Good was such a strong comeback single. It's still BIG. I wonder if the real first single from this era is gonna be as good as that. Can't wait for the new album! Hope it's here by the end of the year.
June 10, 201114 yr I got myself downloading her best-of last week and I rather enjoyed it! Although a lot of her stuff sounds very dated, half of the best-of was so much fun!
June 10, 201114 yr I got myself downloading her best-of last week and I rather enjoyed it! Although a lot of her stuff sounds very dated, half of the best-of was so much fun! Well when you think about it, a lot of the tracks ARE old...the Woman In Me tracks were out in 1995 for a start :P God, I cannot wait to hear the new track in full! Oh and if anyone hasn't heard already, Shania is beginning a two year residency at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas from December 2012. :) http://www.shaniainvegas.com/ Edited June 10, 201114 yr by Crowan
