May 23, 201114 yr Why is the chart that is shown on the music channels (currently on MTV Base) different to the one published on the Official Chart website??? Thanks. I think the one they show on MTV is the "VH1 Urban Chart" (http://www.theofficialcharts.com/vh1-urban-chart/). There's also a "VH1 Rock Chart" which is different from the one based on single sales (http://www.theofficialcharts.com/vh1-rock-chart/) Edited May 23, 201114 yr by sdw
May 23, 201114 yr Ok thanks, but how can they both be official??? I have no idea, sorry... I don't know how they compile the VH1 charts, or why they're published on the OCC website
May 23, 201114 yr Author It's very annoying, there should just be one official chart. All these different charts i.e. Big Top 40 are just pointless if you ask me.
May 23, 201114 yr Oh wait, found this on the OCC website: VH1 Rock Chart The Chart is compiled weekly from sales of rock tracks selected in conjunction with VH1 VH1 Urban Chart The Chart is compiled weekly from sales of urban tracks selected in conjunction with VH1 http://www.theofficialcharts.com/chart-descriptions/ Doesn't give much away though...

May 23, 201114 yr Author Just looked at the descriptions and there is a catalogue chart which consists of songs more than 2 years old, I would love to see that :) Jermaine Stewart would be no.1 :) This would be ideal for VH1 to show don't you think??

But the problem with that would be Adele/Journey/Tracy Chapman/Any other X Factor/BGT related songs would rule the chart forever :drama:
