New film by Lars von Trier

Really looking forward to this. I love von Triers other stuff and Kirsten Dunst won the best actress at Cannes for it which is promising! Plus the cinematography looks stunning..

Looking forward to this. I usually can't stand Kirsten Dunst either (other than 'The Virgin Suicides')!

He doesn't know when to shut the fuck up but that shouldn't take away from his talent. Look at Roman Polanski! 'Dancer in the Dark' and 'Dogville' speak for themselves.

:o I've only just seen the video of this! Kirsten's face throughout it was priceless. But yeah I agree it shouldnt take away from how talented he is. Just him making Dancer in the Dark make's him one of the best for me.

Looks incredible.

I seem to be the only one who likes Dunst here :(

I've seen this already, a few weeks ago. It's quite simple for a Von Trier movie but still very good and makes you think about things..

And it does look gorgeous all the way through. Charlotte Gainsbourg was brilliant as usual.

I really really want to see this. Unfortunately no-one I know would enjoy this type of film. ugh.

My friends seem a bit iffy about it too.

Alone ahoy!

I would fly to the UK to watch it with you Ryan but I can't :(

This is gonna be a be an alone job for me too. I definitely need to see it while it's in the cinemas though.
Antichrist was a bit much to take, not really sure about this as a result.
This was amazing. Couldn't stop thinking about it after watching it. The ending just blew my mind...the moments of really stylised beauty nestled in with the Dogme 95 style hand held camera work were so effective.

The movie is based on the sci fi and the drama genre movie . Kirsten Dunst performance in the movie as i depicted from the trailers seems to be good. I also do agree with the fact that I can't wait to watch melancholia , I hope the movie will also be as promising as it seems from the trailers of the movie.

TELEPATHIC TENDENCIES. Literally just been looking at cinema times.

Jake said he'd come with me but I'm temped to just go tomorrow. These small cinema prices are shady as hell though. Desperately want to watch it on the big screen though.

Finally watched this last night (online, not in cinema though unfortunately) and really did love it. The storyline's not up to much (particularly in part 1) but the visuals at the beginning and end I could watch for hours!

Charlotte Gainsbourg

I loved it too. This and 'The Tree of Life' are probably my favourite films of the year (and both absolutely gorgeous). I love this time of year when all the quality films start getting released! I need to see 'A Dangerous Method' and 'Shame'!

Im just not sure I can sit through 2 hours of Kiera Knightley putting on a Russian accent! I neeed to watch Tree of Life again though, I loved it but in a very superficial way, still not entirely sure what ACTUALLY happened.

I'm already tempted to watch this again first though...
