July 18, 201114 yr I agree, the movie is very sad. It left me with a weird feeling in my stomach for about a week. Yet it is one of my all-time favorites. Oh yeah, and the incredibly heartbreaking soundtrack 'A Love That Will Never Grow Old' is what got me into Emmylou Harris (who in turn, made my all-time favorite album). That song is so sad as well. July 18, 201114 yr You will literally f***ing DROWN IN TEARS. Oh lord. I'm not watching the rest of it then. I'm not liking how I'm feeling now. I'm definitely not going to make myself worse.
July 18, 201114 yr Maybe read spoilers instead of seeing the rest of the film? To be frank, I rather surprisingly didn't feel THAT sad when I watched it. It was the time when stuff like that (the ending of this film) used to happen after all. BTW that scene in the tent have been pretty much the biggest turn on for me ever. Even more than the one in s01e04 of Queer As Folk :kink:
July 18, 201114 yr I just watched the end and it didn't make me cry, I just felt very moved by the whole thing. It was a beautiful film and very well acted by all involved, and I can definitely say it's one of my favourite films.
July 19, 201114 yr Sorry but this has to be done; ghxn38bX7w0 In all seriousness, I have never seen this movie but I don't really know why. I feel like I should.
July 19, 201114 yr There are some right SISSIES in this thread! TOUGH IT OUT. S'JUST A FILM. It's a very moving film though, especially if it's something you can connect with on some level.

May 6, 201213 yr Somehow I only just got round to watching this. Can already safely say that it is one of the best films I have ever seen. The subtlety, the metaphors, the beautiful cinematography, the perfect acting and poignancy. Somehow the death of Heath Ledger adds another layer to all that. Stunning, stunning film.
