Anyone remember the music magazine Disc & Music Echo.

I am desperately trying to find listings of their Top 50 singles charts from April 1966 to December 1969.

If anyone has them, (I am willing to do a chart swap) please PM me

This would then complete my collection.

Thanx in advance

Well now, Disc began in February 1958 as a top 20. Became a top 30 in 1962, but the top 50 was shortlived & went back to a top 30 in April 1967 because the 31 - 50 was not widely accurate & open to hype. The Melody Maker also decreased to a top 30 at the same time for the same reasons. Which is why the BBC did not use a bigger selection until 1978.

From 2nd September 1967 until Disc algamated with Record Mirror in 1971, they used the same chart as Melody Maker. They did go back to a top 50 from September 1969. I have both charts, & if you PM me, we might come to some arrangement.

I'm surprised that you want them actually, because you've previously slated every other chart except the boring, small polled Record Retailer charts!! But do PM me...

Hello, Dave!

It's quite suprising to find someone asked here for those Charts. I've got Discs Charts, but i'm also desperately seeking for MERSEYBEAT / MUSIC ECHO Charts to complete my 60's singles charts collection.
