So Joss is back again, for her fifth studio album. It is released on July 26th and is called 'LP1'. I am not expecting it to do anything much charts-wize as she is not relevant at all anymore, but that doesn't stop me getting excited, as all of her albums she has released so far have been amazing, despite some flopping.

Adore Joss Stone. Perhaps one of our most underated and forgotten british females.

 

The lead single seems ok. Seems she is going into a rather heavy sound. Not the soft soulful stuff she normally does.

Never thought I'd be saying this after the last era from her which seemed to lacking, but 'Somehow' is really rather good.

Oh God it's awful. She really jumped the shark post-Introducing...

 

Much more interesting than this song is the fact that two men were arrested on suspicion of a plot to murder her last night!!

Poor little Joss. I am glad she is OK but if someone murdered her, I would have to murder them. I adore this woman.

 

On a positive, at least shes getting some publicity :lol:?

I forgot how much I used to adore this lady.

I like it! Better than anything I heard from her last album for sure, but far from her best moment still...

I honestly hope this can go top 40, she was on BBC breakfast this morning & this has actually shown up in the pre-order charts on iTunes at #173 so I think it has a chance. Also the sales are rather low right now anyway, so if it didn't even outpeak Colour Me Free, I would be gutted.

I just hope she can make a comeback full stop. Colour me free would of done a bit better if her label promoted it. She fell out with her label over the album and they didn't support it leading to no videos made for the single or two that released plus no support.

Very different from her. Very guitair based. More accoustic. With a small amount of soulful edge in it.

She has a nice voice, forgettable song though.

I do not like this album. I am a big supporter of Miss Stone but this, it's a mess really. While i appreciate she is changing the sound, i feel she has forgotten her Soul roots. She will flop with this. Maybe going independant wasn't the best thing for her?
