Purr-fectly candid with The Pussycat Dolls

Below is purr-fectly candid question and answer bit with dolls that meow:

How do you feel when people say ‘Oops, here’s another Spice Girls?’

NICOLE: "I don’t think there should be an ‘oops’ in it to begin with. The Spice Girls had achieved so much to their credit and to be compared to them should actually be seen as a compliment. If anything, they brought fun back in fashion."

ASHLEY: "Yeah. We’re just taking off from where they came-----and we’re doing it running."

NICOLE: "We’re confident of the talent and history of the group. If you listen to our records or go to our shows, you’d see that we offer our own thing."

What’s the message behind the success of your group? About femininity? Fun?

MELODY: "In general, the message is that it’s important for any girl to find her passionate, make the journey and let hard work find opportunity. That though there may be 99 ‘no’’s along the way, a single ‘yes’ could make all the difference."

NICOLE: "True. Just keep your dreams close to your heart so that even when hard work seems to be not paying off, faith and hunger will eventually lead to success."

JESSICA: "Which, I must add, shouldn’t be measured by media attention. Success is being fulfilled in your evolution as a human being and creative artist. As long as you’re on the path you chose for yourself, you’re okay."

What’s the biggest secret behind The Pussycat Dolls phenomenon?

NICOLE: "For me, it has to be God. I wouldn’t be here without Him; owe everything to him that’s why praise and glory goes right back to Him. God has been my strength and guidance and hard work would not succeed without Him."

CARMIT: "And of course the wonderful people behind our label and management team that make things happen"

Ever thought of adding another member?

NICOLE: "No because I think we’re already complete. Like we always say, The Pussycat is a completed puzzle. Without any of the members, this probably wouldn’t have worked out."

Among the celebrity guests like Britney Spears, Pink, and Christina Aguilera that asked to perform with you when you were still regulars at The Viper Room, who proved unforgettable?

KIMBERLY: "Gwen Stefani. We’ve always said that she’s the missing link to The Pussycat Dolls. Had she not brought people from her label with her when she watched our show, we wouldn’t have been signed up. Of course, she also was wonderful performing the standards ‘Big Spender’ and ‘Fever’ then."

What’s the downside to being a Pussycat?

NICOLE: "To be honest, it gets crazy sometimes to be in front of cameras because it means we go through even our down emotions in front of other people yet still have to be the best that one can be. I’m not complaining, though, because I know it’s part of being famous. Despite it, we’re still happy where we are right now."

What does one learn from being a Pussycat?

NICOLE: "The Pussycat dolls have taught us about being confident and about accepting and living ourselves. To love others by keeping an open mind and heart. To believe in passions and to be fearless and strong in pursuing dreams."

Pussycat hit singles ‘Don’t Cha’ and ‘Beep’ saw collaborations with Busta Rhymes and will.i.am of The Blackeyed Peas. Who else would you like to collaborate with?

MELODY: "The Neptunes, Kanye West, John Legend and Stevie Wonder."

ASHLEY: "Beyonce and Jay Z. Beyonce would be a hot Pussycat while JayZ lends the hot beats."

NICOLE: "Stevie Wonder. Oh, and Lea Salonga! I grew up listening to her music and her singing influenced me a lot."

JESSICA: "Madonna. I hope she gets to read this."

CARMIT and KIMBERLY: "Prince."

Has anyone of you thought of going solo?

NICOLE: "Although I will be putting out a solo album soon, I would still be part of The Pussycat Dolls. In fact, we’re gonna release a new single any day now----‘I Don’t Need A Man’-----and are working on our second album for release early next year."

What’s The Pussycat Dolls’ fashion philosophy?

NICOLE: "Comfort equals confidence. And also, to not be afraid of being different. Fashion is expression so it fits individuals uniquely. Like if you feel like going dressy because you woke up at the right side of the bed, go ahead."

How does Pussycat use spare time?

MELODY: "Ashley and I play with our hair. I love going to the beach just to relax and play under the sun and in the sand."

ASHLEY: "Listening to okay music and dancing around. That’s what the i-pod is for."

CARMIT: "I enjoy cooking and being with family. I rest."

JESSICA: "Reading because I think you have just one life to learn as much as possible."

What would you be girls into if there was no The Pussycat Dolls?

EVERYONE: "Singing and dancing still."

So they're definitely releasing 'I Don't Need A Man'? :o That's the best on the album IMO, after the singles

Yes but i think its the "I Don´t Need A Man" remix version getting released because most people already have the album by now, so they have the album version of "I Don´t Need A Man" and its the 5th single release so they need to remix it a little bit so people

will go out and buy it and give them a 5th top 10 hit.

Hopefully it will do it. After 4 Top 3 hits it would be a shame if this one flopped :(

Yeah it would be a shame if it flopped

can you imagine how many people would say they´re

over and that their popularity is fading

haters & critics would cheer alot.

After the reading that, it shows a different side to the Pussycat Dolls. Example:

NICOLE: "For me, it has to be God. I wouldn’t be here without Him; owe everything to him that’s why praise and glory goes right back to Him. God has been my strength and guidance and hard work would not succeed without Him."

a few members here would of thought that she would say something like: sex sex sex
