November 16, 201113 yr Yeah they aren't falling into the Westlife trap. They just need a strong single like Patience to emphasise the 4 of them are as strong as ever without the robbie circus (no pun)
November 17, 201113 yr Im almost certain when they do a return they will have a killer lead single, they know the importance of a lead single so will do their best on their return to comeback with one.
November 18, 201113 yr It is essential the lead track is radio friendly, strong chorus, good video and coherent on release formats, should this be the case, Take That will return to the top of the singles chart or very near.
December 7, 201113 yr I'm glad Robbie is out for the next album, he ruined Progress for me, I found it a weak album. I really liked the direction they were going down before he joined, I hope they get back to that.
December 7, 201113 yr The next album I predict will be more inline of the beautiful world and the circus material, progress moved away from that to accomodate robbie I feel. An album in the temp of the Flood would suit my preference on the new album too.
December 8, 201113 yr Ideally id like the next album to be in the same vain as the circus, but while i did like progress the only songs style wise i would like on the next album would be something like the flood, love love, eight letters and maybe a little touch of when we were young, the other songs are a step away from the usual sound more so which was nice to get but would prfer a return to the norm as such.
December 9, 201113 yr They might surprise everyone including the fans and go with a completly different sound from all the albums to date. Edited December 9, 201113 yr by pippa
December 11, 201113 yr Other than going into rnb or hip hop i cant really see them changing direction like they did with Progress again. That change i think was more to preserve the 4 piece TT so that they could slip back into that line of music after they ventured out into the Robbie territory
December 13, 201113 yr So now that XF is finished and Gary has time to himself again I wonder how long it will be before he starts writing with the boys again...There's something like 8 months to go until they would probably want to begin mastering the record so that's plenty of time to get good songs written and finished.
May 21, 201213 yr Some fella on Magic FM tweeted earlier saying that he met up with Mark at an event and Mark let slip that TT will release an album Xmas 2013 and will tour again in 2014.....well at least we'll have Rob's album to tide us over and perhaps some Gary or Mark material..
May 22, 201213 yr Im kinda disapointed with the long wait but i suppose it would be better late than never.
June 10, 201213 yr Just wondering about the new TT album...do you think it would be a good idea to have Robbie appear at all on the album? Maybe one track? or possibly a Robbie hidden track after say 11 songs on the album? Imagine if you listened to the 7th album with it being sung by TT as a 4 and then just as the final track finishes you get a Robbie lead vocal on a track like Flowerbed/She Said ...i think it would be a great idea personally....any thoughts?
June 11, 201213 yr For me i would prefer the next album to be totally take that as four. I dont mind them working together but if they do they should do a full album or nothing. I am sure they will work together again in the future but for now i hope they concentrate on take that as 4 and deliver a strong album that can hopefully sell hugely like their previous releases. For some reason im expecting the next album to sell less, i have always said a band or a performer is lucky to get 1 album to sell 2 million plus but to get 3 studio albums to manage the feat in a rowe is brilliant especially as sales are not what they used to be.
June 11, 201213 yr I reckon they could still shift 2 million of the next album, demand will be there after waiting since 2010 for an album and if they release at Christmas which will almost certainly be done then they can easily sell 200-300k a week for 5/6 weeks along with their 400k+ opening week sales. If they have a strong lead single then they are laughing
June 12, 201213 yr I certainly dont doubt they can potentialy keep of up the sales trend they have experienced, however, sales in general seem to be on the decline and take that may feel the effects of that trend. There is no doubt the album will be hugely successful as the fan base is there to ensure that already. Coldplay are another act who know how to sell albums but the decline in sales has effected them so i wouldnt be 100% confident it wont happen to Take That. That said, i think at a worse case scenario the next take that album will at the lowest will have cumulative UK sales of 1.5 million.
June 12, 201213 yr In fairness Coldplay's sales have been falling for the last couple of studio albums whereas TT have still sold 2 million. I can't see people being short of a tenner to pick up a copy of an album that will be hyped up and hopefully leads with a strong single, especially when they will almost certainly do a stadium tour again.
June 12, 201213 yr Coldplays drop has been more significant but Take That have had slight drops in the last 3 albums too but only very minor. I wouldnt bet against Take That not doing 2 million + with the next album but sales are decreasing the whole time so hopefully that wont affect them too much, a strong lead single as usual is the key though.
