Shame the whole era went downhill after this! It was so undeserved :( The album was brilliant and I don't really see how she could have topped it.

Wrong follow-up singles IMO. "Closer" and "Cupid Boy" had a far more progressive sound that would keep the public interested in Kylie and this album. GOOMW and BTT were typical Kylie gay anthems, nothing really exciting, hence the floppage...

It was sublime on first hearing and now, a hundred or so plays later, it's just as incredible to me. It actually made me into a bit of a Kylie fan for the 'Aphrodite' era. Before hand I only really bothered with a handful of singles. Not a fan of much from her. But 'Aphrodite' was phenomenal. 'All the Lovers' is definitely the greatest thing she's recorded though. (Oh I've already said that. It deserves to be said again!) That breakdown is stunning!

Fantastic choice of follow ups :wub: Both songs are incredible and I'd rank them in my top 5 Kylie songs (that I've heard). 'Cupid Boy' in particular :wub:
