Tonight, the opening show in Numayania will reveal all the entries into the 44th BJSC. But before then, here are a couple of clues behind the Ramrynia entry!

  • Peaked in the top 3 on the Swedish iTunes chart when released a couple of weeks ago.
  • Has reached the top 15 in the UK Club Chart.
  • Signed to a UK record label which will released our representative's song later this year!
Who could it be? :kink:

Heart Machine Service to represent Ramrynia in BJSC XLVI!

http://profile.ak.fbcdn.net/hprofile-ak-snc4/373333_421859064498404_1588204472_n.jpg

In tonight's semi final draw for BJSC XLVI in Ingermanlandia, it was revealed that Ramrynia would compete in the second semi final with the song 'Get You' by Heart Machine Service. The song is a ballad with a brilliant production, with very meaningful lyrics and a beautiful voice. Popular blog Scandipop had this to say about the song: "'Get You' is a soft and sweet song, with an adorably beautiful melody to it. This is paired together with some heartbreaking lyrics. Not OTT heartbreaking, more an accepting-that-this-is-the-way-it-is-and-oh-isn’t-it-a-shame kind of thing. And it’s all the better for it. Just wait until the 1:03 mark where the second verse kicks in, and then……yep – it hits you that this is something quite special indeed."

Heart Machine Service are a new Swedish duo consisting of Sofi Bonde and Kim Logan. When asked about how the project came about, Sofi said that at the end of last year she came home to Stockholm after many years in New York and Los Angeles where she was signed to Atlantic Records. After hundreds of songs had been written and placements on several TV shows, from Gossip Girl to Entourage and in Hollywood movies, she still couldn’t get her material released. This lead to Sofi going back to her roots in Sweden.

Back in Stockholm she immediately teamed up with producer and songwriter Kim Logan (co-founder and producer of Set Fire Run/Dyno) and started the duo “Heart Machine Service”. The name of the duo was created using what Sofi and Kim thought were the main 5 points to avoid failing in the music business. These were:

1. Do it our way and be in full control..

2. Do it with heart.

3. Do it well, like a machine.

4. Share and provide the service

5. Be Heart Machine Service.

You can listen to 'Get You' below:

With thanks to alfitude.com for details on the background of the duo.

Jumping Into Rivers is amazing, the perfect summer song! It would have done so much better in BJSC I think if it wasn't entered straight after another Diana entry, but never mind!

Ramrynia finish 21st with Heart Machine Service in BJSC XLVI!

After last night's results show in Ingermanlandia, it was revealed that Ramrynia finished 21st with 87 points and received points from 18 different countries! Despite finishing lower than many odds predicted, Heart Machine Service were only 21 points away from the top 10 and the Ramrynia public were overjoyed to have been able to experience an 8th consecutive final for their country. Furthermore, it was revealed that Ramrynia only just qualified for the final finishing 14th with 52 points - only 4 points away from failing to make the cut! However, overall it was another great contest for Ramrynia and thank you to everyone who voted for 'Get You', especially to Tinnmark for the 12 points to continue our run of getting at least one maximum in every final appearance! Also, congratulations to Aeroche for winning the contest!

In preparation for BJSC XLVII, would anyone be able to help me with choosing the best song out of our 6 potential choices? If so, please post in here so I can PM the shortlist to you! Thank you! :D

After tonight's semi final showcase held in Aeroche, it was revealed that Elisabeth Carew and her song 'The Feeling' would be the Ramrynia representative in the forthcoming 47th Buzzjack Song Contest! 'The Feeling' has been described by Scandipop as 'a joyous dance track, brimming with positivity and a contagious feelgood factor. It’s just one of those instantly likable songs that somehow manages to transcend any need to explain what’s good about it. You listen to it, you ‘get’ it.' It has also drawn comparison to Alexis Jordan's smash hit 'Happiness'. We wish Elisabeth the best of luck in the contest!
