Ramrynia just miss out on the final!

After the semi final results last week, it was revealed that Ramrynia's entry 'Be With You' by Aligator & Sarah West had finished in 16th place with 53 points, missing out on the final by just 2 points! This is still a great achievement considering the odds and predictions indicated a finish much lower than that. This weekend, the 56th edition of the Buzzjack Song Contest will begin in Caerfyrddia following the victory of Marcel Woods & Vanbot in the previous contest. The upcoming contest will be a landmark contest for Ramrynia, as well as fellow countries Daehun and Séyetana.

Five countries made their debut in the 37th contest: Ramrynia, Avalonia, Daehun, Séyetana and Usfland. After missing a couple of contests, Usfland will celebrate their 20th anniversary in a couple of months time and Avalonia stopped participating shortly after their debut. However, Ramrynia, Daehun and Séyetana will make their 20th consecutive BJSC appearance in the upcoming contest. Both Daehun and Séyetana failed to make the BJSC XXXVII final as Kana Nishino and The Wrecking Queens respectively just missed out on the top 14 positions. Ramrynia entrant Diana Vickers did make the final and finished in a fantastic 22nd place.

Watch the official video for Ramrynia's highest finisher Elen Levon with 'Dancing To The Same Song' below:

Over the 20 contest period however, all 3 countries have achieved much success! All three countries have achieved podium positions thanks to entries by Ailee for Daehun, Dream Beats and The F△CE for Séyetana and Icona Pop and Charli XCX and Tegan & Sara for Ramrynia which all achieved third place finishes. Furthermore, Elen Levon also gave Ramrynia a second place finish. Furthermore, as of BJSC LV, both Séyetana and Daehun are in the top 3 most voted for countries by Ramrynia which highlights the often similar musical tastes shared between these three countries.

Watch the official video for Daehun's highest finisher Ailee with 'I Will Show You' below:

Watch the official video for Séyetana's highest finisher Dream Beats & The F△CE with 'Love Stuck' below:

Therefore, Ramrynia wishes Séyetana and Daehun a fabulous 20th anniversary contest and we hope that all of us can be successful in this upcoming special contest being held in Caerfyrddia!

Hopefully I'll be back on form soon! It's an amazing line, it's very useful for things like this! :kink: And at least I got to host it, not many people (if any!) can say they have hosted a contest despite never winning, so thank you again for letting us host it as it was such a great event to host!

Alida finishes second in one of the closest contests of all-time!

An incredibly close final results show of BJSC LVIII took place in Syndare yesterday evening where several countries were leading the scoreboard at different times during the show. With 1 voter remaining, Fljótavík and Ramrynia were tied with 158 points with Aeroche the only other country able to take the victory 12 points behind the leaders. Unovia chose to award both Fljótavík and Ramrynia 6 and 5 points respectively giving the victory to Fljótavík by just one point! However, Ramrynia entrant Alida finished in 2nd place with a fantastic score of 163 points which is the highest number of points Ramrynia have ever achieved in a single contest. Thank you to every single country who voted for Alida so we could achieve this points total! It was later revealed that Alida finished 10th in the first semi final with 78 points showing a massive improvement in position between the semi final and the final. So congratulations to Fljótavík on their victory and thank you once again to every country that voted for us.
