Anybody ever heard of it before? It's a bit of paranormal fiction for those who enjoy the genre. It debuts in June on TNT.

For those that don't know Falling Skies is an upcoming TNT series that recounts the harrowing events of the alien invasion, which places Tom Mason, and his three sons, Hal, Ben and Matt in a struggle to survive as they fight back against the aliens. Here's the 2nd Mass site [http://2ndmass.com/] which is diary of events for more info.

I work for the marketing company that picked up the campaign for show and from the trailer it looks awesome.

Here is the trailer on Fanbolt:

And as we get closer and closer to the premiere, more trailers come out:

New Trailer

The series is definitely looking pretty good as things wind down, to the first ep.

Seen this advertised on F/X, I'm loving the trailers, its a mix of 80s TV series called War Of The Worlds and Survivors, produced by Steven Spielberg, starts on F/X next Tuesday. This looks really promising.... I'm on board, I need to get into something new with a lot of action.

So this was pretty shit. For an alien sci-fi show, it had a stupidly slow start with little to nothing actually happening in the first hour.
Yep it was pretty $h!t, I gave Luther up for the evening to watch this, I wish I didn't now, watches Luther tonight on iplayer.
Was really dissapointed in this, one of the corniest show's i've ever seen, not sure that i'll even give the second episode a shot.

Renewed for season 2.

Hmmm...

I like Noah Wyle but this was just terrible

This thread works fine for episode discussion vs the one I made a few months back. I'll proviso this post saying that the buildup for this series has been fairly massive for me since the social media marketing company I work for has been doing some of the campaigning for the series for TNT. That being said, I am also a Sci-Fi genre fan with roots going back to TOS in the 80s and everything else(for the most part) between now and then.

The show was enjoyable for me personally. The characters have been developing pretty steadily as well as the plotlines between them. To me this show catches the frantic action and desperation of Spielberg's earlier work War of the Worlds, but serializes it. Also, I actually really liked the cornyness that Noah Wyle's Tom Mason brought to the plot, I mean spouting history lessons after the fall of humanity? Priceless:)

Also, the characters are fun, Pope is a great antihero/anarchist/ex-con, and how he develops as a character will be an interesting plot point, especially considering his history with other characters. Which brings us to Margaret, who I am not 100% sure of.

Here is the show's website for those seeking more info:
