Cody, who was discovered on YouTube and has sparked comparisons to Justin Bieber, will release his first album in SEPTEMBER. It will be released on September 20th in the USA, with the UK date unconfirmed.

 

The first single was "On My Mind", up for download in the USA and Australian iTunes stores and via his website. Not available in the UK for some reason...

 

"On My Mind" is a great song, so if the rest of the album is like this, it will be BRILLIANT!

I think he's got much better voice than J.Bieber and like the song too. :)

So much for the album, it turned out to be another EP, but he is working on his debut album!

 

New song leaked yesterday. Doubt it will be on the album, but it is pretty good!

Don't like it. I only ever liked one of his songs that features Flo Rida.

 

He won't get near Justin Bieber's success though because look wise, Bieber is far more better so the girls would rather have him.

The intro, interlude and outro are cringeworthy, seriously. :P The covers are good though, You Da One is my favourite and I like Better Together and Feel So Close too. Evenings In London and What You Want are depressing though. :lol: Beautiful People is just a faceless song anyway, so Cody cannot and does not put his own touch on it. Seriously, anyone could be singing that.

The album is now scheduled for a late summer release, with a Preview EP being on iTunes now.

He's not quite had that push that he needs, I don't think. He's not done too badly here, but he's done nothing to keep his music selling. So Listen got to #57 or something and dropped rapidly, missing the top 200 at the end of the week due to no promotion, no video, etc.

They are definitely similar but in no way is he a rip-off of Bieber. Cody can't really be judged yet as his album's not out, he's been playing with many styles on his EPs. Each EP is different to the one before.

Coast To Coast is a fab EP, 4 U is even more fun and along the lines of All Day (and iYiYi, not sure if you got that with the C2C EP).

All Day and IyIyiYiyIyIyI are on the EP i listened to.

 

He's never going to change the world, but he's definitely talented and his songs are just too damn catchy :o
