Saw the film today as I didn't wanna watch a crappy leaked version. Is my favourite film of the year to date, but going by how much I love the first one, that isn't much of a surprise. :P BRILLIANT FILM. Any othe Cars fans or do we all hate the franchise (that's what it looks like to me... :P)

I found the first really boring and my least fave Pixar film :( Of all the sequels to make, this one was not needed imo.

Errgh, the first is easily the worst Pixar film (and not in a 'good instead of great' way). Not really a surprise though that they made a sequel as the first was apparently their most profitable film, and at least it won't ruin the first film for me (whereas the rumoured Toy Story 4 almost certainly would).

I think Cars 2 had a far more eventful storyline to the first one, and a more pointfull (if you like) plot. :P The first one I feel I connect with better, if only becase I've seen it like 10-15 times, but I really would say they are my 2 favourite Pixar films in general already.

 

I think those that didn't like the first film, but usualy like Pixar films may actually enjoy this one. Shame it wont be given a chance if people didn't like the first... :(

Interesting. I just looked on wikipedia and it said that Cars made over $5billion in merchandise. It seems to be the worst grossing Pixar film of the decade (since Toy Story and A Bug's Life infact), so was clearly granted a sequel because of the merchandising potential. Not that it did terrible, as it's budget was $120million and it scooped in $461million... Clearly the toy cars are popular (I have a fair few myself. :P)

Cars 2 was a superb film to watch..it was quite nice from cars 1.
