Nope. 'A Commotion' is probably the most upbeat thing on there but definitely not quirky. The whole record is in a samey production quagmire. There's literally nothing interesting lyrically about it either. They seem to have opted for some weird reverb on her vocals throughout and it's incredibly jarring.

One of the WORST records I've downloaded within the last few months and tbh I'm shocked that I'd ever say such a thing about a Feist record :(

I really like it. Comfort Me especially. sry jake

Her lower-tempo songs have always been my favorites (The Water, Limit to Your Love, Honey Honey). Though I do miss those Sealion moments.

It's okay Ben, I assume you need to get a fresh Valium prescription if that's the case. I'll PAYPAL you over some dollar in a bit x

My gosh the more I listen to this.

I'd rather have MARLING and that's saying something.

I don't know what you've been listening to JACOB. The album is seriously gorgeous.

Perhaps a 320 rip will give this record a SIXTY MINUTE MAKEOVER style MAKEOVER.

Oh and Ryan I decided to revisit 'The Sweet Escape' album today. GOOD GOD. Apart from the Hooper tracks it's actually some of the worst music of the last decade. 'Now That U Got It', 'Orange County Girl' etc

How on earth did I love 'Yummy' so much. I winced in cringe listening to that one. None of it has aged particularly well really apart from 'Cool' which remains one of the best pop songs of the last decade. For all the rubbish at least a few diamonds remain.

Haha! 'Wonderful Life' remains well, wonderful but the rest is bloody awful.

BACK TO FEIST. THIS ALBUM IS LOVELY.

all i'm sayin beuys, i luv dis song

jake's right though, the sweet escape was such a disaster. especially after LAMB.

METALS > the sweet escape

This album just keeps getting better. I love the production and she sounds so dreamy throughout.

It really does stick out as one of THE worst pop albums of all time.

Perfect. Mountain Man backing on vocals. They have such strong looks, too.

Okay, so after a few listens, it still all just rolls into one monotonous, over-long track to me. I like 'How Come You Never Go There' but it seems like it's an album of that song repeated just not as good!

I shall persist a little longer. I didn't like 'The Reminder' at all when I first heard it and that got better with time.

"Caught a Long Wind"

I still think the entire album is magnificent. 'Comfort Me' is probably my favourite at the minute.
