I think waiting till January is fair. It would be pointless re-opening the registration for people like me now and getting inundated with new people to then find that a lot of people missing last time have came back.

Like Cal said, we are interested in November's numbers to really help us decide our best option for dealing with the big numbers. If a contingency will suffice (if participation has fallen back) or if we need to start looking at a bigger fix to the format.

Basically you have to keep the artist and the song you are sending a secret, until the host reveals what it is in the Semi thread!

It will automatically be revealed when the Semifinal thread is opened by the host. But until then it's a no-no to publicly reveal your song.

....and privately. It was our intention to make confirmation confidential to aid the veto and to allow all the songs to start on a level playing field. The latter is quite important to me, despite what you may have thought from my nation, as I'm a big believer in fairness for all!

It's probably better if you don't tell anyone your song choice anyway. You don't want to tell them you have a gem for them to then go and steal it.

 

Some people are probably sat for hours before the confirmation thread goes up waiting to be first, so if they've taken your song then you're likely to not get it.

To just add a ray of sunshine and a dazzling rainbow to that thought, the more people that confirm a particular song the more likely it is to be vetoed. ^_^

Well, one wouldn't really tell anyone their song choice if they know that person will try to steal it, would one? (Unless it's Robot (telling our resident gossip girl Bré The Wallbra (who might not necessarily want to steal it for himself but further telling the news to everyone EVER IN THE WORLD)))

(And I definitely wouldn't steal anything from HENDINIA of all countries, they send artists that have already been sent and gone top 10 almost exclusively and that's pretty much rule #1 of things Persephonia do not send).
