Plan B at #68? WHAT? :o His album was probably one of the best albums i've ever heard in my life (and I own ALOT of albums). Stay Too Long, The Recluse, Prayin', Love Goes Down, Writing On The Wall, Hard Times and Free are all superb songs and i'm glad he got success in 2010. The work he did with Chase and Status too ('End Credits' and 'Pieces') are pure gems, too. Shame all he's known for is the dire 'She Said'. :(

'Pieces' is his only great song. -_-

Personal Opinion: Prefer the stuff he did with The Smiths, "Girlfriend In A Coma"

"Bio: Steven Patrick Morrissey, better known as Morrissey, is an English singer and lyricist born in Davyhulme, Lancashire, England on May 22, 1959.

He was the lead singer of The Smiths, one of the most influential alternative bands in the 1980s. The group split up in 1987 and Morrissey started a successful solo career.

His first solo album, Viva Hate was released only six months after The Smiths split, in March 1988. The album’s first single “Suedehead” peaked at #5, a higher position than any Smiths single had ever achieved. In 1990, Bona Drag, a collection of his solo singles and b-sides, including popular songs such as “The Last Of The Famous International Playboys” and “Everyday Is Like Sunday” (which also appears on “Viva Hate”)

His second album 1991’s Kill Uncle was not as well received as his first, with neither single achieving the Top 20. In 1992, the Mick Ronson-produced Your Arsenal was released and included singles such as “Tomorrow” and “We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successful”. A live album, Beethoven Was Deaf, followed in 1993.

In 1994, Morrissey released Vauxhall and I, which contained “The More You Ignore Me, the Closer I Get”, his biggest hit in the United States, where it peaked at #46. Later that year, Morrissey also recorded a one-off project with Siouxsie of Siouxsie And The Banshees: they sang in duet on the single Interlude.

After “Vauxhall and I”, Morrissey released Southpaw Grammar (1995) and Maladjusted (1997), both of which failed to produce a UK Top 20 single. "

'Pieces' is his only great song. -_-

I agree (well, I like 'End Credits' too).

I find his solo material abysmal! Surprised he didn't get my bitch slap really, can't remember who did!

"Bio: Ed Sheeran (born 17 February 1991) is a singer songwriter currently signed under Atlantic Records. Sheeran was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire before moving to Framlingham, Suffolk. In his time in Suffolk, he was known to have flourished as a hidden talent when it came to music. He learned guitar at a very young age, and began writing songs during his time at Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham. By the time Sheeran had left school, he was already certain that music was going to pay a major part in his life, and therefore studied at Access To Music in Norwich before moving to London which improved his chances of getting gigs.

Sheeran began recording in 2005, which lead to the release of his first EP, The Orange Room EP. Sheeran also released two albums, a self titled one in 2006 and Want Some? in 2007 gaining little attention. After Sheeran moved to London and had done extensive gigging, performing songs from his EP and albums, as well as ones which he had recently written, he decided to release another EP, You Need Me in late 2009. However, it wasn’t until February 2010 that Sheeran began to get noticed after he posted a video through SB.tv displaying his diverse style. This video led to mainstream rapper Example asking Sheeran to tour with him. "

"Bio:Tramar Dillard (born September 17, 1979 in Miami, Florida), better known by his stage name Flo Rida, is an American rapper signed to Poe Boy Entertainment. He began his rap career touring with 2 Live Crew and was then featured on DJ Khaled’s album “We The Best” in 2006. He released his debut album Mail on Sunday in 2008 and it’s lead single, Low featuring T-Pain, held a run of 10 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2009, he released his second album R.O.O.T.S, and it’s first single, Right Round featuring Ke$ha, was #1 for six weeks.

Dillard was born in the 187th Street projects of Carol City, Florida. His single mother raised him and his seven sisters, some of whom sang in a local gospel group. As a teenager, Dillard worked with local rap group 2 Live Crew and formed his own amateur group with some friends called the Groundhoggz. His work with 2 Live Crew member Fresh Kid Ice attracted attention of DeVante Swing, a member of the band Jodeci. However, he was rejected by several of the major labels, so he sought many other jobs outside of music. After graduating from high school in 1998, he studied international business management at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for two years and attended Barry University for two months. He returned to Florida to continue pursuing his music career after receiving a phone call from a representative of the independent label Poe Boy Entertainment. "

Personal Opinion: Again, not heard him the song I've picked of him seems quite good.

"Bio:Patrick Wolf is an English singer-songwriter from London. Wolf mixes electronics and samples with a wide range of instruments including viola, keyboards, ukulele, and percussion, all of which he plays himself to form a fusion of jazz, folk and electronic music.

He began experimenting with sound and four-track recording at the age of 11, eventually building an arsenal of instruments that included junk-shop organs and a home-built theremin.

At the age of 14 he joined the pop-art collective Minty, a venture that caught the eyes and ears of Fat Cat Records, which went on to supply the youth with a computer and mixing tools for aid in his newfound audio experimentation. He left home at the age of 16 and formed Maison Crimineaux with his friend Fanny, which eventually found its way to France where the noisy duo played a show attended by electronic maestro Kristian Robinson (aka Capitol K), who went on to release Wolf’s lauded 2003 debut. With Lycanthropy reaching number 39 in the NME’s top LPs of the year, as well as receiving critical acclaim throughout Europe and America, Wolf decided to study composition at the Trinity College Music Conservatoire.

The results of that endeavor can be heard on his 2005 release Wind in the Wires, a dark collection of moody British folk and chamber pop with a chilly laptop sheen. "

LastFM Plays: 126,235,386 (with Placebo)

BMAS History: XX-59

Personal Opinion: Not the biggest Placebo fan TBH

"Bio: Born to an American international banker father and a Scottish mother, Brian Molko’s family moved frequently during his childhood, including spells in Scotland, Liberia, Lebanon and Luxembourg. Molko has referred to his mother’s home town of Dundee, Scotland as “where I grew up”. He attended Goldsmiths College in London, where he studied drama. He describes his childhood as a period when he felt very lonely and alienated. He started to wear make-up at the age of 11. He was an actor in a school drama theater.

While Molko was brought up in a strict household that disapproved of artistic expression (his father wanted him to become a banker) he rebelled by affecting an androgynous image, wearing nail polish, lipstick and eyeliner, and listening to punk and glam rock. In his late teens, he came out as bisexual.

Molko and Stefan Olsdal both attended the International School of Luxembourg in Luxembourg, but they were never friends. When Molko moved to London to study drama at Goldsmiths College, where he graduated with a degree, he met Olsdal at South Kensington Tube Station. Molko invited Olsdal to one of his gigs in a club, which he played with Steve Hewitt. Olsdal was impressed with Molko’s voice, and together they formed Ashtray Heart; eventually they changed the name to Placebo. Together with drummer Robert Schultzberg (a friend of Olsdal’s from Sweden) performed together in 1996. Schultzberg did not fit in the band, however, and was soon replaced with Steve Hewitt, who played on Placebo’s demo tracks. "

One of the funniest gigs I ever went to was a Patrick Wolfe one! He was terrible but my friend got RIDICULOUSLY drunk and spent the whole time shouting at him how much she loved him and how she'd get a sex change for him. He just IGNORED her the whole time while all the people around us were whispering not-so-subtly that they wanted to punch her in the face. AMAZING TIMES

"Bio: Paul David Hewson (born May 10, 1960), nicknamed Bono Vox - stage name Bono - is the lead singer of the Irish rock band U2.

Bono has been lead singer of the band U2 since 1976. U2 has won 22 Grammy Awards to date, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005. Lauded by fans and critics as an outstanding performer and songwriter, Bono has also been praised by world leaders as an accomplished activist due to his powers of persuasion and knowledge of the issues. He travels extensively to give speeches and lobby politicians. Bono’s career as a socially conscious musician has been shaped by childhood experiences in Ireland (his father Bobby was Catholic and his mother Iris was a Protestant) as well as volunteer work in Africa and South America. He married his childhood sweetheart Alison Stewart in 1982. An accomplished activist in her own right, Ali Hewson once declined an invitation to run for President of Ireland because her husband “would not move to a smaller house”. They live in Dublin with their four children: Jordan, Memphis Eve, Elijah Bob Patricius Guggi Q, and John Abraham.

Personal Opinion: I do really like "Down" but to be honest that's all I've heard of him, that and that song about 2000 and something.

"Bio: Paul David Hewson (born May 10, 1960), nicknamed Bono Vox - stage name Bono - is the lead singer of the Irish rock band U2.

Kamaljit Singh Jhooti (born March 26, 1981 in Southall, London), better known by his stage name Jay Sean, is a British R&B singer-songwriter and actor signed to Cash Money Records. He released his debut album, Me Against Myself in 2004 and his sophomore release, My Own Way, in 2008. His third studio album, All or Nothing, was released November 2009. The first single from the album, Down, featured Lil’ Wayne and hit the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

When it comes to the business of being a singer there are artists, there are stars and there are phenomenons. Jay Sean is all of the above. The proof is in the press, the sales, the fans and above all, the music.

ALL OR NOTHING is both Jay Sean’s first American release and first for Cash Money/Universal Republic Records. But while it’s his debut over here, the 29-year-old Pop/R&B singer/songwriter/producer has been a major sensation and multi-platinum artist over there since 2004; releasing two smash albums, scoring two top ten singles, nominated for Britain’s heralded MOBO (Music of Black Origin) Award twice and building a worldwide, fervid fan-base that stretches from Russia to Australia to NYC.

In some ways ALL OR NOTHING is the best of both worlds. Featuring sizzling, brand new tracks like the lead off single “Down” (featuring label mate Lil’ Wayne), ALL OR NOTHING also includes some of the songs that helped Jay Sean blow up around the rest of the world.

I never liked 'The A Team' but Ed's new single is much more catchy.

Flo Rida is a hit and miss for me but if I think back 'Club can't handle me' and 'Where them girls at' are great party/club songs. 'Right round' was awful though.

Jay Sean  'Tonight' (which was on my local radio in late 2008 before it got an official release) was generic but great, 'Down' a little less so but I attach memories to 'Do you remember'.
