Bloody Nora, he ended up at #6 and even got fewer sales than Joe did with 39, 663 for RFYL compared with 43, 034 for Ambitions. The song was pretty bad.

I do wonder where a lot of the Matt fans have gone, I hope for his sake they are buying his album otherwise he's sunk.

I think likeability plays a big part. Although we all know not to believe all we read in the press, trying to push himself as tne credible artist to come out of the show doesn't seem to be doing him any favours.

Like Will did, he needs to keep his head down, and get on with proving himself.

I agree TT, I've seen quite a few articles and even live interviews and he doesn't do himself any favours with a lot of the things he's been saying, sometimes if you want to be seen as "credible" in the music industry, you have to let your music do the talking and to start doing it with your debut album and coming as a winner from a talent show, isn't really a very good idea.

I've heard a few songs from from his album and ok, they're pretty decent songs but excessively overproduced and sounding very much like a combination of Coldplay, U2 and Killers cast offs. I reckon he'll sell a lot better than Joe Mcelderry though as the songs are a lot better quality.

I'm sure you're right TT, it won't have helped an average song that in his interviews he comes across as a bit up himself. I was reading popjustice this morning looking at past items and he was saying the same of thing last December as he's been saying recently thinking he had more credibility than he does.

Maybe he thinks if he disses Syco enough Cowell will dump him and transfer him wholly over to Columbia.

Cheryl Cole 'rehearsing with Gary Barlow' for Children In Need gig

Published Friday, Nov 11 2011, 08:44 GMT | By Daniel Sperling | 7 comments Cheryl Cole has approached Gary Barlow for help ahead of her performance at the 'Children In Need Rocks Manchester' event next week.

The 'Promise This' star began rehearsing with Barlow in a bid to brush up ahead of her live comeback at the MEN Arena event on Thursday, November 17.

"Cheryl hasn't done much TV this year at all and it has been a while since she sang live on stage," a source told The Sun.

"She has been busy in the studio working on her next album so her voice is in good condition but she wanted to get some serious time together with Gary before next week. They will have a big section together on stage at the MEN. It is going to be special."

Lady GaGa, Coldplay and Elbow are among the other acts to perform at the charity gig.

Cole will front an appeal film along with the likes of Kylie Minogue and Jessie J during the Children In Need broadcast on November 18.

Then he writes crap like Matt Cardle's single.

Just bought tickets to see Coldplay at the Stadium of Light. :)

Only solo gig, apart from Will, I've booked in around 30 years.

Few laughs in this.

Silly me - I pressed the Submit button, and I hadn't written anything.

Anyway what I was going to say - I've read somewhere, probably DS, that Ms Tweedy/Cole isn't appearing now, as she supposed to be ill.

Just been reading on DS Leona is to record a cover in December which she will perform on both X factors. Proceeds will go to an animal charity she has been supporting.

Well a cover on the x factor is a no brainer.. No risk in that :P

Is it wrong that i've totally warmed to Olly now!?

Liking his single and albums. He has some good singles, i would even watch his tour DVD.

Didn't think i'd say that a year ago. The Saturdays too. I find JLS tolerable now! even One Direction..whats wrong with me!

(Still thinks Gary Barlow is over-rated ;) )

Bet I can surprise you with the special guests on the X Factor final.

Jls, One Direction, Micheal Buble, Leona Lewis and Coldplay.

Only Coldplay decent & I'm surprised they are on there but then where else is there to shift albums.

What is it with Buble? He's like the resident performer.

What an expected Non surpirse that list is. . zzzzz

Well having One Direction and JLS on is a sure fire way to get a huge younger audience to watch and Coldplay will be a huge draw as well, Leona will wear a new frock, wave her arms about, look pained and say it's amazing.

I read there was a competition to design a dress for Leona for a special performance.

Wonder if it has leaping bunnies on it or maybe horses heads? the EP is after all for an animal charity.
