I've loved quite a few of Ivi's songs in the past, so I was highly anticipating these potential Eurovision entries and I'm far from disappointed! All three are really good, but my favourite has to be La La Love :wub: . Although I quite like it, Call The Police would be an instant DNQ, and it would be a travesty if Ivi failed to make the final. You Don't Belong Here is great, but could go either way depending on the quality of the other entries. I can imagine La La Love qualifying quite comfortably however.

My rankings;

 

1. La La Love (pretty much like anything from J.Lo's current album, Papi in particular) - 9/10

2. You Don't Belong Here (really like this, I do enjoy a bit of radio friendly MOR) - 8.5/10

3. Call The Police (cheaply produced 'quite good' but trashy pop - Silas wherefore art thou? :o) - 7/10

I keep listening to all 3, and if they were released just as normal songs and nothing to do with ESC, I'd still buy them - I think they are 3 really good songs!

 

La La Love has become my favourite I think now, I must have listened to it about 20 times so far, but I still love Call The Police's dubstep :P

 

Whichever wins the NF I'll be happy :D

My favorite is 'La La Love'. It's really catchy, maybe the best from Cyprus I've heard. Can't see myself liking the other two entries.

You Don't Belong Here is by far my favourite, Call The Police by far my least. However I think La La Love would be the best choice. Helpful, I know.

Actually, I think La La Love would be a much better Cypriot entry! It has Greek/Cypriot motives and sounds pretty fresh. And that Romania 2005-esque beat 2 minutes in is DESTINED to be EPIC live. Chills just THINKING about it :wub:

On polls I've seen La La Love has around 70% of the votes, while the other two have 15%, so it'll be a big shock if La La Love doesn't win. I love all 3 like I said so I don't mind which wins, but LLL would be the best choice I think :)

Either La La Love (pop heaven) or You Don't Belong Here (MOR heaven) would be Cyprus' best entry, possibly ever!

 

Not sure if the juries would take to La La Love much, based on last year's results and their inflicted death of all pop.

La La Love HAS to win! Call the Police reminds me of Down for Whatever in some ways...

Yes La La Love needs to WALK this and instantly become by far the best confirmed entry so far, although a logical explanation as to why I like You Don't Belong Here so much - it was co-written by Sharon Vaughn of Release Me fame! I could sort of imagine Agnes singing it actually...

I'm really worried that the inevitably cheaply produced Cypriot final tonight will cause the two uptempos to look and sound like absolute car crashes and we'll end up with a default win for You Don't Belong Here. :(

I still want a You Don't Belong Here victory, but I'll be perfectly happy with La La Love too, just as long as the abysmal Call The Police fails miserably.

I wouldn't be against You Don't Belong Here winning (as I REALLY like it), only to the point that it would be another victory for MOR and pandering to the juries, which could lead to an INCREDIBLY dull contest if everyone keeps this pattern up.

 

I wonder if it could actually do better at Eurovision than La La Love? Both are guaranteed finalists, but La La Love will be after the annual gay fan vote, because I don't see the juries taking to it much. It's less dated Euro than the likes of What About My Dreams, Je Ne Sais Quoi and Hero but I could still see it potentially flopping in the final after easing through the semis. Whereas I don't see You Don't Belong Here flopping at all, it would just be a safe midtable probably.
