January 25, 201213 yr I think La La Love would appeal to far more voters than just the gays. I can see it being as successful as Aysel & Arash, or even Helena Paparizou - it's equally as strong as both of those entries! I also can't see the juries completely shunning it either, as even though they go for the more classic sounding tracks, they also support well produced (if not always well sung) modern pop songs. I mean, they supported Jedward more than the public did last year!

I mean, they supported Jedward more than the public did last year! Fingers crossed, that's why I'm hopeful that it might do well. It's VERY RedOne and fresh, moreso than either of RedOne's actual ESC/MF offerings last year because it actually brings a great melody along for the ride as well  I'm really hoping that the juries aren't so old fashioned with their tastes this year, they seemed to avoid anything remotely resembling a well produced modern pop song last year, with the exception of Jedward, who I expect they voted for for bringing some colour and personality to proceedings. But yeah, what I was getting at is that La La Love genuinely could go either way, depending on how the juries feel on the night, whereas You Don't Belong Here would do fairly well whatever I think. For the sake of variety and storming ahead with the best entry picked so far by a mile though, I hope they go for La La Love. I swear if Cyprus pick Call The Police tonight though... :drama:
January 25, 201213 yr I'll certainly be tuning in to see this. Hopefully La La Love will win this indeed. Call The Police, while being pretty good, will fail miserably at Eurovision. And Cyprus don't want to miss the final sending their 30th entry!
January 25, 201213 yr Tbh I think I'm #TeamLaLaLove now. I have a reservation about the way she will sell it though, I'm not sure it's really her sort of song, she seems more edgy, which means that Call The Police is a much better fit as an artist, but I do agree that LLL is probably their best shot at success. You Don't Belong Here however would still be an AWFUL choice. What time is the final, is it being streamed?
January 25, 201213 yr I hope La La Love wins :D Watching live streaming now, it starts any second now :)
January 25, 201213 yr Oh nevermind, this was boring  I think there is commercials... not sure tbh :P
January 25, 201213 yr The Cyprus selection always takes a while to get going, and will probably end sometime around 2am  . My stream isn't working very well sadly :(
January 25, 201213 yr Found where I can watch but it stops every tenth of a second. Not going to post here until the end in order not to break the feed  :(
January 25, 201213 yr http://www.cybc.com.cy/video-on-demand/ind...icle&id=675 This is the low quality one I use, in case.
January 25, 201213 yr I'm guessing this must be the most watched programme in Cyprus given how long it's going to last. I do wonder what they'd be like as a host nation if they ever win, it could be the longest and most technically flawed contest ever!
January 25, 201213 yr They stole that boot idea from the Greek 2009 performance <_< I've NEVER seen somebody so UNCONFIDENT, AWKWARD and SCARED at the same time! :drama:
January 25, 201213 yr Are they playing GUESS THE SONG BY THE LYRICS game?! Edited January 25, 201213 yr by Ljósið

Given their historical links to the UK, maybe they'd let us do it :teresa:
January 25, 201213 yr I shan't be watching this marathon, it sounds excruciating - all this just for a three song final? I'll follow it just by watching Pavel's running commentary :D
January 25, 201213 yr BASTARDS. Told that it's finally Ivi time (I guess that's why they put 'IVI ADAMOU' behind the presenter, so that people wouldn't turn it OFF after seeing 2 hours of chit-chat, continuous technical problems and flop performances of former Cypriot ESC entrants), but went on a commercial break
January 25, 201213 yr You know I had totally wiped the existence of San Angelos S'Agapisa from my mind, I was sure it was Jon Lilygreen last year
