September 11, 201113 yr And some GB fans got there at 4.00am :D What a long wait it's not even open yet. Wish I was young and fit even to queue at a reasonble time like Shirl :D Avis x Aw hugs Avis :friends: bless you :( Just to remind everyone..the red button feature can't be recorded with Sky Plus but can be recorded through video..if anyone still has one of thoseI expect it can be recorded to anything apart from sky + Beverley Knight is fab live., she totally wipes the floor with any female artist around right now i think. I hope they do get her for The Voice, she would be brilliant. She is an amazing singer, (now to add to my mad day i have a humungus spider in my lounge, going to get a net and put it outside) (net got but no sign of humungus spider) He just said f*** it on the radio a DJ quickly rushed on air to apologise for any offense!" Mr Will Young please wash your mouth out ..... naughty  Edited September 11, 201113 yr by phil3579

September 12, 201113 yr Looks like loads more came for the evening performances. Much more atmosphere and fireworks at the end. I don't think Will could have gone on if he'd have been later, I think he would have had to pull out altogether.

September 12, 201113 yr  Naughty William. Young Turns Airwaves Blue During Live Bbc Radio Concert Singer Will Young turned the airwaves blue on Sunday (11Sep11) during a concert in London. The Leave Right Now hitmaker performed at Bbc Radio 2's Live In Hyde Park show, but warned fans early on he was suffering with throat problems and would have to shorten his set. Young said, "I'm so sorry everybody but as you can hear I'm afraid I'm having a real problem with my voice, which is really upsetting because I've only ever missed one gig in 10 years. I'm going to do my best for you guys." He sang five of his hit tracks, and partway through his performance Young told the crowd, "Thank you so much for being so patient with me. I really look forward to seeing you again when I'm in finer voice. Oh, and it's f**king raining!" Realising his set was being broadcast live on Radio 2, Young swiftly said, "Oh sorry, are we on radio? Sorry. I was doing really well as well. Oh well, f**k it." A Radio 2 official then interrupted the set to tell listeners, "I'd just like to apologise for some of the language you're hearing at the moment. It's live from Hyde Park but our apologies if anyone's offended." http://www.contactmusic.com/news/young-tur...concert_1244846
September 12, 201113 yr Think I may be on my own here but it was James Blunt's performance that I enjoyed the most. Could only listen to Lenny Kravitz in small doses & although Gary has a nice voice that's about it for me. He doesn't have the rich tones to his voice that Will possesses & without the other lads most of the songs to me sounded a bit flat. Just my opinion I'm sure lots of others would disagree.
September 12, 201113 yr I had a feeling they might not have him on the highlights..what would they show really? of course he sounded fab on the parts he did sing but apparently he was having coughing fits in between, bless him  . He wouldn't want that shown and neither would they i suppose. Fi_MadFiona Madden I'm gonna shamelessly say this. Will Young is super TALENTED. I saw him perform while ill, coughing between songs yest n his voice was WOW
September 12, 201113 yr From BBC Radio 2 site listen live Parental Guidance Lock Contains language which may offend. 'Radio 2 Live: In Hyde Park' may be unsuitable for young audiences. Yes, I am aged 16 or older Set up Parental Guidance Lock More about Parental Guidance Lock William!!!! :nono:     Just listening to Will now :( aw he's all raspy, sounds like hes changing some of the notes to help his sore throat through it, he is still note perfect dispite his raspy throat, did notice he missed out 'girl' on LMF bless him Edited September 12, 201113 yr by phil3579

September 12, 201113 yr Not going to post the whole review of the gig as i'm only interested in the Will bit..i'll post the link though for those that want to have a look see. :D Kudos too goes to Will Young who despite being quite unwell forcing him to shorten his set, conducted a sterling performance, even incorporating mime, much to the audience’s amusement and delight. His set included ‘Changes’, ‘Leave Right Now’, ‘Who Am I’ and ‘Light My Fire’. http://www.misformusic.com/index.php/2011/...io-2s-festival/
