A very poorly Will Young (9/10) coughs his way through his show and apologises profusely to the audience for the shortening of it due to his illness. Nonetheless he wows the crowd with an extremely soulful and strong voice, and charms them with jokes throughout.

Hi there

 

I'm afraid that after conversations with Will's managment and label we were asked not to transmit any of Will's performance at the Festival. He felt that he didn't give it his best by any chance as he felt so unwell.

 

Such a shame, we would have loved to include him

We gave Will a recording of his performance - artists always think that it's worse than it is.

 

And we have eventually gained agreement to put out Who Am I in In Concert tomorrow 8-10pm, also hoping to get an interview

Just read that over the road. So pleased part of his performance will be heard again. :D Will is very critical of his own performance I remember he commented about not quite being on it at Cadogan Hall on the South Bank Show.

Thanks girls - I've just been reading that too. Really pleased we'll get to hear him again - his voice wasn't that bad. As you say he is so self-critical and the Beeb acknowledged that artists can be hard on themselves.

 

I'd already set my box for this programme in the hopes of hearing his interview with Johnnie Walker - so this will be a big bonus. :dance:
