Do you think there are more oldies played on the radio than there used to be, given that nowadays they are as easy to buy as brand new material?

No, I don't think that there are more oldies played on the radio, than there used to be because:

a) Radio Stations tend to play the same stuff over & over every week, plus Gold plays the same 200 songs week in, week out.

B) Less oldies are played, because Radio Stations have been come stagnant in "Brand" & lazy.

c) You would think more variety in oldies would be apparent, because downloading has made finding more stuff easier, but like I said Radio Stations are stuck in a rut & probably the people that listen to them, most having cabbage for brains to listen to them in the first place i.e. any Heart Station, Capital, Gold et al.

d) Radio One is beyond a decent oldie base.

e) Radio 2 is a "Celebrity" Station, & even specialist shows are not great in playing a more varied oldie selection i.e. Blackburn's awful POTP.
