Poor Britney Spears' life is a mess. Long gone is the image of the carefree pop princess and one half of Americas golden couple. Instead, Britney now finds herself struggling to cope and been forced to publicly deny problems in her marriage to Kevin Federline-even while she's pregnant with their second child.

 

But Sunday can reveal that, craving stability and longing for reconciliation, Britney is turning to ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.

 

''Britney has been spending night after night on the phone to Justin, pouring her heart out.'' says Christina Allen, a childhood friend of Britney's.

''She remembers her times with Justin very fondly.'' They were so happy together. Britney knew where she stood with him. She knew that he loved her for who she really was. She hasnt felt like that since they split up.''

''She says her and Justin are soulmates and that she would love to see how they would be together now as adults.'' Justin has been dating Cameron Diaz for the past three years.' 'Cameron's always been insecure about Britney beacuse she knows she was Justin's first love.''

 

Forever her rock,Justin is comforting his ex and giving her advice. ''It compounds him how much she still cares for him. She would go back to him in a heartbeat, kids or no kids.'' Neither Cameron or Kevin know about the calls. In some ways, Britney has more in common wth Justin than Kevin. With Justin what you see is what you get. He's a simple southern boy, and Britney loves that about him. he's the polar opposite to Kevin. So whats the attraction to Kevin in the first place? ''Things were great when they first met,but it was all about passion and physical attraction. Now if thats worn off whats left? Britney's desperatley trying to make things work with Kevin. She doesn't want a 2nd divorce under her belt and she wants to keep things together for the sake of Sean Preston and the new baby.'' ''But it may be that sooner rather then later, she'll find herself fighting a loosing battle.''

 

Will Britney call time on her marriage? Will she and Justin get back together? While Britney's fans would love a happy ending, we cant see Cameron letting him go without a fight.
