August 1, 200618 yr I'm glad that my first post of my second thousand is one of appreciation. Thanks to B.P. for starting the ball rolling and gathering all the pics for consideration, thanks to those who shot many of the excellent photos and to pip for the final calculations. It's fitting that there are a good few fans' pics in there and that the pics cover the whole period of D's solo career up to and including his stint at the Cambridge. I just wish I could design a banner. It's beyond me so I just hope all those who can and have the time, will. Good Luck to all who give it a go.

Short of putting it in the gallery here at buzzjack, a better option is to use an image service. I'd recommend http://www.photobucket.com
August 3, 200618 yr Thanks e-motion I've got a photobucket account. I'll keep working with it now and again. I keep moving the whole layer instead of just the selection but I've just read a tip that sometimes people have to press Alt too.
August 3, 200618 yr Author its basically along the same lines as a signature, ie, your signature could easily be a banner if it was fitted into 600pixels long x 130pixels high size, all it needs is Darius forum in text on it somewhere. there are some lovely examples of banners in the arts forum under the pinned topic about OF banner competiton winners. if its just for our entertainment it can have any pictures on it, but for the competition it has to have ones from the ten selected and posted in the arts forum darius banner comp thread, and it cannot be shown on the forum but must be pm'd to allysa to be entered for judging. August 4, 200618 yr Allysa will post up all the entries in the Art & Graphics forum and then people can say/debate who their favourite is....but, unless a poll is done (which normally slows the next competition down drastically!!), the final decision usually lies with the forum moderator!!! That'll be you Pip!!!!! :P
