I've forgotten how many weeks Blind Faith was at #1 for  But yes, Stay Awake should easily beat that however many it got in the end - although it's unlikely to steal Blind Faith's crown as my favourite song of 2011 despite what the stats imply. Still easily my 2nd favourite though and I suppose there's still time for it to grow even further, after all it hasn't even been released yet! 2. Promises would have actually sneaked a week or two at #1 in the small gap between Bré chart mk. II and Bré chart mk. III so it was very unlucky! As it stands its chart run is actually 6-4-2-3-(gap)-3-4-5-4-3-3-2 :drama: 3. Indie coming back would be very welcome IMO, a lot of it isn't great but that also applies to every other genre and good indie is VERY good (Pumped Up Kicks being very much an example of good indie) and it's slightly ridiculous how quickly an entire genre has practically disappeared from the singles chart bar frontloaded big names and the very rare occasional hit (and the two we've had this year - PUK and L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N. - were still not exactly huge) :( Nonetheless I can't see Foster The People starting anything and they'll clearly be one hit wonders but on the positive side even that is fantastic success for a new indie band in 2011... 4. I clearly do :kink: I really hope it can still steal away Olly's #1 although I love both songs. 5. I didn't :P I was uncertain on first listen but it's another addition to Coldplay's almost flawless discography of brilliant singles (there are a couple of slightly dodgy ones in there - looking at you Christmas Lights - but for the most part they're all great). 6. Yeah, it gets better for me every listen as well. It's unlikely to climb again next week and may even drop a place as James Morrison's new song () will overtake it, but still. Definitely should have been #1 over Wretch but again I love both songs so not too bothered. 7. Like gooddelta said, it would only be a matter of time before landfill dubstep reared its ugly head :P Although I do love 'Sunlight' (as you can tell). 9. I don't think YNM,IDNY is better than The A Team but to be fair that'd be a lot to ask  10. It's true that all their songs do sound similar - I heard 'Undercover Martyn' on the radio earlier and initially thought it was 'I Can Talk' - but it's a great song. Two Door Cinema Club deserve to be much bigger, I'm sure their second album will go at least top 5 because that always happens with indie bands whose first albums are slow burners, but I also hope they can eventually get a top 40 hit. 11. If Bré chart mk. II had died just 2 weeks earlier 'Hitz' would have a #3 peak in my chart, being at that peak for nine weeks  But it did spend the last 2 weeks of Bré chart mk. II in the top 2 so it's alright. 13. This is only above Lunar because I haven't heard Lunar once in the past week! I still think Lunar is the better of the two and the best thing from Nothing But The Beat (that I've heard). 28. It's not their best song but it still does the job perfectly well. 30. I've heard this on Radio 1 so many times that it's just been hammered into my head :drama: -x- I spent more time on that reply than on my actual chart  Edited August 22, 201113 yr by Bré

30. I've heard this on Radio 1 so many times that it's just been hammered into my head :drama: -x- I spent more time on that reply than on my actual chart   It must be quick to make your chart then. Mine takes 30-60 minutes, as it has more songs and more formatting. :P 1. 'Blind Faith' had 8 weeks at no.1 in your chart iirc (the same amount of weeks PRA was 1 with me), in my chart it spent one week at 2 :drama: 2. Unlucky, it would've deserved number one. I've had many number 2s falling short when they should've been at 1. Promises has a better overall run in your chart though, in mine it's just jumped 22-1 4. I prefer Olly's single - which tells you how much I don't like FSC. I would've liked it more if it wasn't the follow up to his best single ever (imo) 6. Emeli could possibly challenge number one in my chart, it's getting lots of plays recently from me. I'm not looking forward to hearing Jason Morrison - all his songs are boring especially the overrated 'You Give Me Something' and 'Broken Strings' -_- 9. The A Team is too indie for me - but I love the new single because it's more rap and has a beat  30. Normally when R1 play a song a lot, even if it's indie, I'll like it a bit and chart it low. But this is just try-hard rock for me ('Lost In Stereo' by them was OK but all other singles are just bad)
