Thanks DD!! :D I'm the same, I never want to upset anyone and cause a row between members (even though it is usually a friendly!! rift)! :D It's just that when it's so obvious that someone really doesn't know much about Darius or his music I have to stand up for him - you never know, it might make the poster more interested to find out more!! I live in hope!! :D

I have just read what has been said and I have to say it is laughable.

Music to me is about the VOICE, Darius may have charisma and presence but vocally he is somewhat average and can't sing anything other than cheesy ballads and pop songs, Ben is a FAR better vocalist than Darius, Ben can sing rock, soul, blues as well as pop which is something Darius never can add to that Ben is an accomplished pianist and guitar player, if charisma was what X Factor is about as opposed to vocal prowess then Chico should have won it last year

I don't want entertainers and showmen/women I want vocal ability and for me Ben has the best vocals of any contestant I have ever seen on X Factor even if he lacks the charisma and stage presence.

The first sentence notably Music to me is about the voice is a joke is it not, Ben and chico, neither I am afraid, I havent bothered to watch this year but have seen bits and voice wise only leona or Robert have any range.

I went swimming today. It's YEARS since I last went. I don't remember it being that hard. I had to give up after 20 lengths. Backstroke used to be my best - this time it killed me - the other strokes were much easier.

Hi, everyone. Sorry I've been away. I went to Canada on an impulse because things were not going well over there and frankly I felt my son needed his mum, although he has wonderful parents-in-law.

Sometimes I have to put my own boy before Avril's.

:cheer: Welcome back Glad you are OK

Hope everything is ok with your son

Welcome back Baytree, we were starting to get worried!! :) Good for you going to see your son in Canada - a son will always need his mother!! I bet it was a wrench getting back on the plane to come home, but hopefully now your mind is at rest!! :)

Julie

Welcome back Baytree. Ive missed you and your posts.

Thanks, julie. I do feel so much better for going out, even if it is hard to leave them behind again. I tried to stifle my concern but it just got stronger and stronger. I had to go for my own mental health as well.

Preston, you won't be saying that by the time this weekend's out. I intend to get back into the swing forthwith.

You mean on the radio or something?

The first tune I heard when I got back to Scotland was Live Twice coming from one of the shops in the airport - the icing on the homecoming cake.

Thought i better let you know I'm OK.

I've just recovered from a nasty stomach bug.

Well done Meg.

Have you been back since?

You need to build up slowly, can't expect to do what you used to do.

Baytree....good to see you back.....and hope you're feeling better from your bug.
