Great! That's good to hear.

I've had a bit of a sad time tonight. The dog I walk every day was a bit lethargic yesterday and just wasn't himself. I went with his owner to the local vets today and he was very anaemic. They recommended taking him to the emergency clinic. he was given a blood test which unfortunately showed he may have an advanced blood disorder or even cancer. He's in the clinic getting fluids to see if that helps him enough to transfer him by ambulance to our own vets' practice for them to start treatment. It's been such a shock, even for me. I just can't really take it in. I don't think I'll sleep tonight worrying about him.

I hope the dog is ok, poor thing :(

I do  our little Sonic (the hamster) sadly died last Sunday I cried for ages but he was old and had had a good life.
They're never old enough. Even when you know it'd be cruel to keep them alive, you still end up in tears. It all seems wrong without them. I'm even worse with the humans around me, except, I don't have to choose when to call it a day..

Just got back from the hospital. My mum's just been taken in with chest pain.

It's not a heart attack, more rapid heart beating.

She said she had been suffering from 2pm....I was with her then and she never said anything till the carers were putting her to bed

She hadn't seen the doctor when I left as there had been several admissions and she was in a queue.

From her setting eyes on me she told me to go back home....I waited till she was comfortable in bed and the nurse with her, then felt it was better for her that I left.

Old people get very aggitated.

My days off are pretty much arranged round my mum, dogs and family....so not a lot new.

They started her on a drip, gave pain killers and put her on cardiac monitoring.

She moved onto a ward from the assessment unit about 6am.

I've just rung again and she is sleeping and seems comfortable.

Visiting is now 2-4 and 6-8.

Just going to nip the dogs out round my mother-in-laws....kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

My thoughts are with you, Pam - you just feel so worried and helpless!! :(

My Mum has been pretty good for a couple of months now after a year of being in and out of hospital with heart problems!! She is 87 and making the most of life!!

I'm pleased to hear your Mum is comfortable and hope she is improving today - big hugs!!

Julie

Thank you.

Mum was chatty but tiring easy.

Still on her drip and cardiac monitoring.

Blood was taken today to see if it had been a cardiac episode.

No change really, tired, still on the drip and monitoring.....no diagnosis, but does look better in her face.

Hope your Mum will soon be better, Pam.

Please can someone explain why there is 'warn [0%] *****' below my name.

Thanks Megham, it had me worried that no-one else had that

beneath their name. I'll try not to blow up the system or

be a subversive agent!!!!!!!!
