I so agree with what Bramley says, every morning I think about her and hope. I was very disappointed in the pictures they originally put forward wearing the hat as I felt the closeups of her face and eyes in particular was what they should have gone with. I notice the t shirts for the football matches they are wearing again go with the hat picture.

Hi B.T. Hope you have had a good break.Did the weather keep fine for you ? :)

Thank you. I did.

We had a couple of showers and one ten minute period when a freak, high wind blew up, then the heavens opened but it went just as suddenly as it had come. I've never seen anything like it. Twenty minutes later we were strolling through the Tuileries Gardens under a bright blue sky and the sun warming our backs. Incredible!

It's good to see Madeleine's family getting access to the politicians in the House of Commons, meeting today with John Prescott, Stephen Dorrell their local MP and Mohammed Sarwar from Glasgow, who to his credit immediately pressed for today's meeting, when the family requested his help.

Now there is some way the concerned public can help. Her uncle is launching a fighting fund for Maddie today. The family have been using their own funds but they can't keep that up for long. Details may perhaps be on the news tonight.

Hi Meg. Ijust wondered what you felt about the latest D. photo on net......D. in bed.

Am I the only person who dislikes it?

On two grounds. Firstly, looking through the other photos in the set, it struck me that all the other portraits put the

sitter in the context of the work they normally do, or showing their interests. D's photo stands alone.....it depicts him

as a sex object. Viewed in the context of the whole set of photos, I find this degrading, and belittling.

Secondly, I think the photographer has captured the wrong expression in his eyes. Having put in so much effort

to shoot a skilled high key photo, I think a little more effort to create an atmospheric expression would have been

justified. I'm certain D would have co-operated. A dreamy, pensive look instead of the predatory, speculative,

almost wary look.

This is just my pesonal reaction to it. As a photographer, how do you feel about it?

You see, Bramley, that's the trouble, we all see things so differently. I love the pic. To me it shows an innocense and relaxation. Maybe it's because, for me, Darius will never be a sex object, just a nice young man. I like his eyes in it and don't find it suggestive at all. It's very peaceful and gentle and not at all predatory, speculative or wary look. It brings out his gentle nature and the way he looks while he's talking to you, which, since there's as little chance of him being attracted to me as there is of me being attracted to him isn't at all sexual.

I don't find it belittling as it shows a lovely side of his character. I just wish I could take as good a pic. Darius likes my pictures but I can see a huge gap between this professional pic and mine. There are others I frind as good and really admire as well. D does stand alone, he's one of the best people I've met and I do find the pic has a really nice atmosphere.

Trust me to not agree but, I like the way we all differ and wouldn't have it any other way.

I would just like to say that the email Jane sent me said that this photo was part of an ongoing series called Waking with You.

I found it belittling in relation to the other photos in the set, as I feel it could have shown him in relation to his music

just as the others were shown in context with their work. I have nothing against the bed setting on its own.

I am pleased to find someone else who does'nt look on him as a sex object. I too find him to be a well-mannered

pleasant young man. Now Burt Lancaster !!!!!!!

I wanted to underline 'in relation to the other photos in the set' but my keyboard doesn't know how to underline.

Have you seen the other photos.... Mo Mowlem, Cherie Blair, etc?

I am afraid I am on the same wavelength as Meg partly. I see it as an innocent picture as an actual study but I also see what the younger ones see and I dont think that is a bad thing. He needs to appeal across the range and to some degree the younger ones see it differently, it happened with colin firth, the lake scene in pride and prejudice didnt belittle his credibility but brought him right to the front and it certainly happened with Burt lancaster and I am sure it helped their careers but when you actually break it down its not like wearing the loin cloths in Joseph is it, its just him in a bed. I remember back after pop idol there was a full page picture of him in a white dressing gown in one of the mags and it caused a stir but it made a few people sit up and take notice. I actually think it is a lovely picture and I also think that Megs pictures are well up to the standard of the professionals and even better. It is nice to hear different viewpoints.

Are we talking about the same picture? Two bare arms are suggestive, just because D's pictured in a bed?

The thing that belittles him is because the photo is so out of place in the set of photos. Look at them and see. As though

his purpose in life is to be beautiful and sexy, with no other talent. The other photos are all connected to their careers.

As an individual photo, seen on its own, it is an excellent photo, aside from my personal preference to see

a more sleepy D. with a more 'just woken up come and join me' expression, not quite so alert.

It wouldn't have struck me as suggestive, till I read the other comments on net!!!!!!!!!

I haven't been on to the website so are all the pictures filed under the Waking Up With You title or is D's perhaps different because it will belong in a new set yet to be completed ?

Edit: I think the comments on .net are exactly what you would find on any other celeb's site. No-one really thinks they'd get close to Darius in that way, but there's no harm in (day)dreaming.

I didn't take into acount or look at anyone elses photo sets,

I didnt know it was titled waking with yuo.

I think it is sweet, he does have an innocence about him in it, and don't find it particularily sexual, just very vulnerablequite child like actually.(like most men when they are half asleep) LOL

I would just like to say that the email Jane sent me said that this photo was part of an ongoing series called Waking with You.

Now this is news to me. On Jane Hodson's web site, this photo is definitely in the 'Reportage Photos' section, with

no mention of 'Waking with You'........anyone can check this out by following the site instructions I gave.

Considered in the light of Waking with You , and if this photo is the first of a new series, then it certainly does not

belittle or demean D. But I was judging the photo in the light of the series in which it is presented on Jane

Hodson's site...........and in this context I still consider it to be an insult to D.

It was used in her gallery and that's all. I don't think this type of pic would work with Mo Mowlam. However good, she didn't give the feeling of peace and relaxation. I suppose each pic, was displayed in Jane's gallery in the set they belong to. I never thought of it as 'in context' with the other pics as they were taken at a different time, for a different subject.

Darius seemed quite surprised that I liked the pic. Maybe he sees it diferently to me too.
