Pumped for the new series tonight! :D There are three new characters, replacing a whole host that have been axed/quit since last series/Essexmas; Harry, Maria, Carol (Mark and Jessica's mum), Nicola (Lauren's sister), Mick (Kirk's dad), Dino and Georgia, and Peri.

 

Hopefully we see more of Nanny Pat and Nanny Brighton this series - they were by far the highlight of Essexmas :wub:

I thought there was meant to be 12 new characters? :P Anyway, haven't seen any episodes yet but I'll ctach up soon. I can't imagine the show without Mark or Harry, and hopefully we'll have some more Sam this series!

I feel for Lucy so much :( Mario is such douche. The Lydia/Arg story is beginning to wear thin now, hope they either just stay together or leave it completely. It's boring to me. Oh and Sam has gone from being one of my faves to a cold ice queen who I can't stand, glad she's leaving soon.

Last night's episode was by far one of the best that I've seen to-date! I've sensed a real lull since Amy left (and even Mark in places), but Joey vs. Ricky was hilarious viewing. I also loved Gemma's face when her date told her that Ricky Martin was gay :lol:

Ricky is a complete prick, glad Joey showed him whatfor! His comment to Frankie was when he crossed the line, she had done nothing wrong and was just defending her brother. Gemma continues to be hilarious too, good on her if she gets with Charlie, he's pretty good looking if incredibly camp!

They could have made that Ricky Joey fight a little more realistic

I thought it was quiet a good ending to the series (not that it'll be gone for long; series five premiers in ~5 weeks!). I've really changed my opinions on quite a lot of the characters this series; I've loved Cara/Bili/Tom's story, after hating the former two in series three. I dislike Lydia and Lucy quite a bit now, especially as Lydia was one of my past favourites. Lauren G has also gone down in my likings, but she was never very high up anyway. I'm so glad Georgina got so little airtime, because she really grated on me whenever she was there. I've also grown to love Chloe, who I was majorly put off last series from the whole bum implants stuff. Finally - Gemma remains amazing, and I'm glad that she got her happy ending tonight :D

Series five begins on Sunday April 15th :D I'm sure there'll be more unnecessary new characters (not that the last few were really developed that much) and some will go too. Rumour has it that Brian Belo is suing ITV for taking the idea:

Glad this is coming back. Missed my trashy Reality TV fix now Playing It Straight & the last series of this had finished.

I loved the episode last night! One of the best of the past three seasons (and let's be honest, it's been in decline for a while now). The rivalry between the two groups of boys was hilarious. Gemma and Charlie have to be two of my new favourite characters as well, her "pigs in blankets" look was hilarious on Sunday too!

So The Daily Mail have said Lauren Goodger is leaving. Not much of a loss, I couldn't stand the sight of her, but now only 2 of the 6 original cast members are still on the show :o

This show's so dead in the water, it's unreal! I still watch it as there's nothing else on, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were axed soon.

Arg annoys me so much it's unreal. Vile little man.

Charlie is a twat, him bringing that up was completely unnecessary and obviously has a lot of insecurities regarding his sexuality. Gemma was hilarious shouting at him though. Oh and is it wrong that I thought Bobby actually looked pretty good?!

Excited for Series 6 :D anyone gonna be watching?

Felt sorry for Bob, even if it was obvious from the getgo that he had feelings for Charlie but I've been in that situation before and it's horrible :(.

Think it's run it's course now.. So set up! The live show proved that :P
