St. Anger was decent, this (or the parts I've listened to) sounds all kinds of awful... I mean there's a 19:29 MINUTES long song going nowhere.

 

Not to mention the lyrics..

I like its singles a lot, especially Frantic! However, the album is painfully long.

the bad production of it makes me physically sick. seriously sounds like Lars was drumming on bins.

Regarding Lars: True, but it doesn't bother me that much. Same with Lulu too but that album has bigger problems lol

Indeed... Awful... Just what is it with Metallica and albums being badly produced anyway.. The "official" Death Magnetic has pretty shite production too... Which is why I downloaded the illegal re-mastered version..... :lol: :lol:

well up until st anger it's because they were using the dreadful producer that is Bob Rock. Don't know what went wrong with Death Magnetic, which was otherwise an incredible return to form.

I always get a bit suspicious when people use the word "Rock" as a surname, it's like, what are you trying to prove, dude? And even more suspicious when it's preceded by a forename like "Bob".... :lol:
