They've been together since they were 11 years old, but after 12 years it looks like N-Dubz could be calling it a day. Rapper Dappy told reporters: "The band is definitely going to quiet down for the next year and a half to two years. We may release some stuff every six months but it will definitely be quieter. Then at the end of that period, we will do a greatest hits or best of N-Dubz. Then that'll be it: finished." Their fans - both of them - are said to be devastated.

Thank goodness they're crap anyway :yahoo:

I'm not sure if you've made this up, the quote seems WAAAAAY too eloquent for Dappy  No loss to pop, frankly, but now there will be two or three solo careers to put up with :(
Not sure to believe this. But oh well, at least we'll have a new Dappy album soon and Tulisa at some time!
N-Dubz were really never any good - so it's no loss. I'm holding out for some fierce Tulisa solo stuff, and Dappy's first single is very promising. Who needs a bunch of chavs pretending they're the Black Eyed Peas anyway?
Not a big loss for me at all, never liked them apart from 'Strong Again' and 'Playing With Fire'. Hopefully we'll see Tulisa releasing solo material around X Factor time now.
GOOD. And perhaps Dappy can retire from music althogether soon?

Well, I'm slightly disappointed. Sure, they were tacky and fairly bad quite a lot, but when they got it right, which they did about half the time (Strong Again, Playing With Fire, We Dance On, So Alive, Best Behaviour, maybe even Morning Star and Say It's Over at a pinch) they did it rather good. I did like them.

Fortunately, if No Regrets and Lovesick are anything to go by, the solo careers should be a lot less hit and miss.

Or 'THE N-Dubz' as Louis Walsh would say

I saw this on the news today aswell. It's such a shame imo. They would be bigger than ever by then if Tulisa stays on X Factor.

I didn't mind them personally, I thought their style was quite good and they had some pretty good songs as well - but it was pretty inevitable given they're all doing different things atm

They're one act I really can't see the appeal in whatsoever, so utterly cheap and nasty. Having said that, I did like 'Playing With Fire' and 'Morning Star', 'Strong Again' was okay.

The saddest thing is they've ended on a high and the solo members will still be floating around, I was always hoping they'd just flop and disappear completely.

Well their public profiles are bigger than ever but after their third album flopped I think it was pretty clear that the public were past caring about them as a group. Tulisa and Dappy will have big solo careers (more so Tulisa) but I can't imagine N-Dubz ever being successful again.

Their third album didn't flop, it was the biggest album of the year!

In the shoplifting chart.

Their third album has gone platinum, has it not?

I don't know how I feel about this. I am kinda glad as when they were terrible, they WERE terrible. But I've really liked majority of their 2nd album. ('Against All Odds') and 'Love Sick' from 'Life. Live. Love' is the best thing they have ever done to date. I thought they were just taking a break didn't realise they were actually splitting :(

Dappy is doing his own thing, album probably out next summer

Tulisa has the X Factor and is recording at the moment - guess album will be next year around October time

Fazer is working on a collab solo album with other artists
