Posted September 13, 201113 yr Class Actress Rapproacher October 17th 2011 http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/500/52222641/Class%20Actress.jpg After logging several years as a coffeehouse singer/songwriter, Elizabeth Harper began focusing on electronic music in 2009 with the help of producers Mark Richardson and Scott Rosenthal. A Philadelphia native, Richardson first appeared on Harper’s radar several years prior, when he remixed a song from her debut album. Harper preferred Richardson’s version to the original, and the two eventually reconvened in Brooklyn, where they began fusing Harper’s pop songs with sampled drumbeats and synthesized instruments. Rosenthal also joined the project, and Class Actress made their studio debut with 2010’s Journal of Ardency, an electro-pop EP that took its cues from Madonna, Depeche Mode, and the fellow Brooklyn-based band Chairlift. http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CAK065CD.JPG 01 Keep You 02 Love Me Like You Used To 03 Weekend 04 Prove Me Wrong 05 Need to Know 06 Limousine 07 All the Saints 08 Bienvenue 09 Missed 10 Hangin’ On 11 Let Me In UCPpgE7x-BI An excellent understated synth-pop album with some beautiful cooey vocals. It's almost like a more elegant, refined La Roux for want of a better comparison. I imagine Ryan, Cremey and Dandy* AND MORE will like this. Woo.
