It's a good song, I noticed it in Hitstastic's European Top 30, I take it it's smashing in Russia/Ukraine?

:D

Glad to see you've discovered a song via the HIT30 (I've changed it to Hitstastic International Top 30 purely because Australia, New Zealand and Canada are also included - and have been since day 1!!! ).

I just read through your chart and noticed the Russian text and straight away knew which song it was. I shall comment on your full chart later on.

Just to answer your question, Vera's track is currently charting in Russia and Ukraine. It was also in Latvia's top 10 a fortnight ago but dropped out last week.

Brilliant chart. I am loving Ed's album, and I think your order of the tracks you've charted is pretty much my own too. :D

Hi gooddelta :D

1. Maroon 5 feat Christina Aguilera - Moves Like Jagger (1) (CR-64-52-50-62-OUT-60-14-3-3-1-1-1) Great to see this stay at number one! I really disapprove of the 1D song :( It's just typical boyband rubbish that sells on name alone

7. Sak Noel - Loca People (26) (CR-52-25-15-14-8-12-22-41-50-53-47-34-26-7) Would be so great to see this smash the charts when released. Great to see you lovin it

8. Ed Sheeran - You Need Me, I Don't Need You (8) (CR-67-OUT-8-2-2-4-5-3-1-5-4-5-8-8)

12. David Guetta feat Sia - Titanium (7) (CR-4-1-2-3-7-12)

37. Lana Del Rey - Video Games (Re-entry) (CR-15-8-13-29-OUT-37) I only heard it last night, but I really like it - expect it to be a hit in my charts

38. Nicki Minaj feat Rihanna - Fly (47) (CR-19-OUT-60-47-38) This is good but I prefer Rihanna's new solo single Cheers

59. Laidback Luke vs. Example - Natural Disaster (55) (CR-55-59)

67. Alexandra Stan - Get Back (ASAP) (68) (CR-39-39-OUT-49-41-40-OUT-68-67)

Great Chart :) Only 12/75 for me this week sadly :( :(

Thanks Daniel, not many then  Cheers has already been in my chart before but I'm long bored of it now, reminds me of November 2011 in all honesty!

How did you only hear Video Games last night? :o It won BJSC a couple of months ago in the contest you took part in with Disco Romancing, it was even in your semi! Although you didn't give it any points in your semi or the final...

Loving Loca People again now although it's had a great run in my chart now! Disagree about One Direction though, I think it's a great pop song - certainly I wouldn't buy any song on name alone, certainly not by them :heehee:

39. Gotye feat Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know (44) (CR-60-48-44-39)

40. Florence + The Machine - Shake It Out (NEW) (CR-40) PHENOMENAL. I overuse such words but I mean it this time, this is honestly in her top 3 best already. Massive hit for sure!

Brilliant as ever, and I think I can guess your BJSC entry :P If it is what I think then I approve! Shame about the crap number 2 though :heehee:

Thanks Liam, what would you choose as Ed's next single? :o I think it's a pleasant choice although The City and Small Bump may have had more impact, the former for the beatboxing, the latter for the lyrical content. Brains Out is brilliant but I'd be surprised if somebody hasn't already got Tove confirmed, albeit with Call My Name instead of Brains Out...The new Florence song is great but again it needs to grow more on me before I proclaim it amazing! Hopefully both Agnes and Natalie WILL leak soon, the latter is very Wynter Gordon-esque production wise, not surprising seeing as she was big in Australia I guess but then it is only a remix for now...

Agreed about the two Aqua songs :D Surprisingly good! Yes I can't reveal what my BJSC entry is but hopefully you like it :kink: I'm already addicted, the last minute is amazing especially! Poor One Direction, it's SUCH an embarrassingly good pop song imo, never out of my head!

69. Вера Брежнева - Реальная Жизнь (NEW) (CR-69)

71. Avril Lavigne - Wish You Were Here (Re-entry) (CR-71-46-OUT-71) I love the music video, it's so deep, shame this wasn't release as the main or the second single though.

73. Ed Sheeran - Drunk (NEW) (CR-73)

74. Katy Perry - The One That Got Away (Re-entry) (CR-48-40) (CR-48-40-27-OUT-74) This is not going to be her sixth number one, she should have released 'Pearl' or 'Not Like The Movies'.

75. Kati Wolf - Vár A Holnap (NEW) (CR-75) Not as good as 'Szerelem, miért múlsz?' but it's always nice to see some non-English song in your chart :D

I have to agree with you, Pavel, Nick and the 21546464 of people. The Evanescene's album is so boring, shame, I like 'Fallen' :(

Great chart!

Thanks Luke, Moves Like Jagger is easily Maroon 5's biggest hit but Christina (being #4 in my all time favourite artists chart) has had bigger, namely Lady Marmalade and Beautiful which were huge #1's for me  Shame for Kelly, it's a really nice song but not 'amazing' I guess...

Yep Gotye was somebody's BJSC entry although I knew of it anyway and it would have charted regardless, it continues to slowly grow on me  I prefer The One That Got Away to Pearl and Not Like The Movies but I think she's pushing it trying to get a 6th #1...Kati's song is good but nothing amazing, I thought I had quite a few non-English songs in my chart quite often :o Maybe moreso in Melodifestivalen/Eurovision season...

Yeah, I guess with most of the band leaving Evanescence the soul has gone out of the music :(

Indeed so thank you for that! I rarely comment in the thread but I always have a listen to the songs that I don't know - I was impressed that a Russian language song could have enough impact to get as high as #17 overall so I gave it a listen and really enjoyed it :D

Hi Rich,

1. Maroon 5 feat Christina Aguilera - Moves Like Jagger (1) (CR-64-52-50-62-OUT-60-14-3-3-1-1-1)

2. One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful (4) (CR-52-34-24-16-4-2) - I do like this top 2, but One Direction far more. Moves Like Jagger got old rather quickly for me. :(

3. Lise Karlsnes - Red Hot (NEW) (CR-3) - I am listening to this as I write this. There's a huge amount of production, but I think it could be good. We'll have to see.

4. Will Young - Jealousy (2) (CR-30-27-40-40-30-22-5-4-2-4)

5. Katie Cole - Sunrise (3) (CR-2-1-2-3-5) - I heard this on the radio a few days ago and was really taken aback. Then I just sat back and enjoyed it.

6. Tove Styrke - Call My Name (5) (CR-19-13-5-6)

7. Sak Noel - Loca People (26) (CR-52-25-15-14-8-12-22-41-50-53-47-34-26-7)

12. David Guetta feat Sia - Titanium (7) (CR-4-1-2-3-7-12)

14. Ed Sheeran - Lego House (NEW) (CR-14) - This definitely sounds like the third song from the album, it was very strong on one listen.

15. Kelly Clarkson - Mr Know It All (10) (CR-10-10-15)

16. Ed Sheeran - The A Team (17) (CR-67-40-29-28-23-19-8-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-3-7-7-12-17-16) Longest Runner

19. Le Kid - Bigger Than Jesus (12) (CR-17-12-19)

20. Coldplay - Paradise (NEW) (CR-20) - This is SO AWESOME! :D It reminds me of Noah And The Whale a bit, but still definitely Coldplay. But yes, I am in love with this at the moment.

22. Caotico & Tove Styrke - Brains Out (NEW) (CR-22) - I heard this a while back and did like it a lot, especially the chorus. :kink:

24. Le Kid - Kiss Me (13) (CR-7-13-24)

59. Laidback Luke vs. Example - Natural Disaster (55) (CR-55-59)

61. Electric Lady Lab - Touch Me (NEW) (CR-61) - Heard this a while back as well. Fairly decent electro stuff, but I wasn't blown away by it.

64. Ed Sheeran - Grade 8 (NEW) (CR-64)

67. Alexandra Stan - Get Back (ASAP) (68) (CR-39-39-OUT-49-41-40-OUT-68-67)

68. Professor Green feat Emeli Sandé - Read All About It (NEW) (CR-68)

71. Avril Lavigne - Wish You Were Here (Re-entry) (CR-71-46-OUT-71) - Not my favourite on the album, like it seems to be everyone else's, but a good choice for 3rd single. I have a soft spot for Everybody Hurts myself, but that's me and Avril ballads.

73. Ed Sheeran - Drunk (NEW) (CR-73)

Brilliant chart. I am loving Ed's album, and I think your order of the tracks you've charted is pretty much my own too. :D

Thanks Eyes! Some really mixed views on the One Direction song in this thread! I can't explain why I love my top two so much, especially considering how low they debuted in my chart! Lise's song is amazing, the production is obviously the main draw to it for me at least (especially the last minute of the song ) but it's got a really good melody too! Wow! I'm yet to hear Sunrise on the radio but I'd definitely be surprised if I did too! Still absolutely loving it :D

Wish You Were Here is probably my second favourite on the album but Avril's had far better, bit of a weak album imo. I'm also loving Ed's album obviously although I can see why the 4 bonus tracks were left off. Would have liked to see Sofa and One Night on there instead of a couple of the bonus tracks that we got.

Lol, how do you get sooooo many views?

People can't wait to see my brand new chart every week! :o

In reality though I have no idea, I noticed 8 guests viewing it earlier, i.e. not even members of this forum, I don't know quite what they get out of it

Hello Rich! :D Already two pages? :o

2. One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful (4) (CR-52-34-24-16-4-2)

Now you beat Aled again  This really is too damn catchy!

3. Lise Karlsnes - Red Hot (NEW) (CR-3)

I'm guessing this is you-know-what; I like it. Very big production and lovely synths.

13. Loreen - Sober (36) (CR-36-13)

I absolutely love this to death already. Out of interest, how did My Heart Is Refusing Me do on here?

20. Coldplay - Paradise (NEW) (CR-20)

Not liking this as much ETIAW, but then that took time to grow on me too, so we'll see. Intrigued by the album, I really loved the last one (and I'm not a big Coldplay fan)

39. Gotye feat Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know (44) (CR-60-48-44-39)

Slowest rise to glory ever :P

40. Florence + The Machine - Shake It Out (NEW) (CR-40)

This is also amazing. I was worried about this era but she's basically blasted my fears apart now.

51. Laura Sheeran - Walk Out With Me (NEW) (CR-51)

I can only assume she is a relative of Ed?

52. Natalie Bassingthwaighte - All We Have (63) (CR-63-52)

Oh my, is she still giving it a go? She should never have left Rogue Traders if you ask me! <_<

60. The Wanted - Lightning (NEW) (CR-60)

I really like this on first listen. I'm confused. Did the boybands get good all of a sudden (well, except JLS) or have they just moulded me to their way of thinking?

I've not had a chance to listen to the Ed Sheeran album yet, unfortunately, but no surprise to see it top your chart! :D Excellent stuff as always.

I'd probably choose The City or Small Bump, but Lego House would be 3rd. Yeah, I'm fairly sure someone would have got Call My Name, or Brains Out. It'll probably be a case of which got confirmed first (probably Call My Name, that being available longer. SIO hit me first listen, we'll have to wait and see if it was OTT! I'm going to have to give the Natalie remix a listen, in anticipation for the actual thing. And Agnes won't be long even if we do have to wait for it to be on Swedish iTunes.

You actually haven't sent an entry I disliked yet, so pressure is on :P

Thanks David :D I know! A popular little thread this week for some reason!

2. Yes I know, the shame :drama: It's been in my head all week, especially since I bought it on iTunes and got an HQ version!

3. It may well be, wait and see! Agreed there, the last minute or so is magnificent production wise

13. Same, shockingly My Heart Is Refusing Me also peaked at #13, I have to say that I prefer Sober so far, for whatever reason *something* which I can't put my finger on was always missing from MHIRM...

20. I'd agree with that, although I still think it's excellent. ETIAW is my favourite Coldplay single to date possibly (I'm not a massive fan either), not getting the general indifference for it on this forum...

39. Who knows, it's still going the right way!

40. Hopefully the album lives up to the singles. I've only heard Shake It Out twice so far but it's got a decent top 40 debut considering and will undoubtedly climb next week...

51. I'm not sure actually  I was Googling Laura Marling but for some reason put in Sheeran instead and to my surprise there's an artist called this, with actually quite a decent album to her name! Quite dark and moody though, atmospheric and grand haunting production.

52. Clearly she is! Rogue Traders only had one good album imo and that's Here Come The Drums.

60. Same! I have no idea but certainly The Wanted and One Direction (and naturally Take That!) have been churning out some great pop in the last year. JLS less so but I enjoyed Eyes Wide Shut!

Ed's album is really good imo but I'm a fanboy so can't offer a terribly objective opinion on the matter I'm afraid

I'm not so sure he'll have another huge hit single but purely because the album is selling so well (and will continue to do so over xmas). I do think that those two songs could do with the increased exposure though, Small Bump has a really thoughful subject matter.

Definitely, I'm not so sure if either of the Tove songs could win BJSC, White Light Moment would have but Call My Name still isn't quite up to those lofty heights. Ah yes apparently Agnes' song is being sent to Swedish radio on Monday so not long now :D

Yes indeed! Although I'm sure if you went through my full entry history you'd find something you disliked, even Silas has hailed two of my entries as 'vile'

Hi gooddelta!

1. Maroon 5 feat Christina Aguilera - Moves Like Jagger (1) (CR-64-52-50-62-OUT-60-14-3-3-1-1-1)

75. Kati Wolf - Vár A Holnap (NEW) (CR-75)

Brilliant chart as always! :D

I haven't commented in a while (sorry!) but I just had to when I saw the completely brilliant top 2. My own would be the same, just the other way round. Can't get enough of either.

Nice entry for The Wanted, not as good as GYC but I'll wait for the HQ version and then form more of an opinion.

Never really been a Coldplay fan but I love 'Paradise' (and ETIAW) so I'll be very happy if the entire album is like that.

WTWGM never really clicked, but I already LOVE Shake It Out. Can hear the emotion and I especially love the start of the song. Excited for the new album after hearing that.

Is there ANYTHING worth checking out on the Evanescence album really?

Don't like The One That Got Away really. Katy should either just move on from this era or release a proper slow song (Pearl or Not Like The Movies) as I don't think she's had a ballad this time.

Nice to see it's also going to be the UK top two this weekend, it's not like my chart to mirror the official charts so much but I LOVE these two songs!

Same here on Coldplay, I used to find them so overhyped but I've really liked the last two singles so more of the same on the album hopefully!

I love WTWGM now and Shake It Out is really good too and will climb for me, if the album is even half as good as Lungs then I'll be ecstatic!

Not really to be honest, only the single What You Want, which you've probably already heard...

Play Ed's album now, it's great  Did you get the regular edition with 12 tracks or the deluxe with 16?

The deluxe version, I've played it now, some excellent tracks on there Give Me Love, Small Bump and so much more too good to list. I can't pin any bad tracks on it, maybe one or 2 which could get on my wick down the line.

The only one that grates on me sometimes is Wake Me Up because of the overly gushy lyrics that remind me of that awful Match.com ad where the guy sings to the girl on the opposite platform. Other than that I love everything, amazing debut album!

Ah well, I wonder why it's been top 20 in the overall European chart!?! Must be smashing somewhere, unless Hits makes it all up

Oh dear. I'm sure even loons won't be able to find much merit in it! They forgot the melodies :(

Deja vu! I disagree, naturally, the production is amazing especially the last minute and a half, I'm a sucker for this sort of electro pop. I NEARLY covered up my BJSC entry because last month people commenting about it being 'average' in my chart thread *almost* put me off sending Sunrise but then it finished top ten - plus I adored it, it's still top five in my chart now! Songs grow anyway, look at the chart runs of my top two

Wait, you edited your comment to say that 'you're quite sure it will' :o Is calling my entries average just the immediate kneejerk response you give before realising that they're not ALL average? :kink:

The song's not on one of the nation's biggest radio stations so I don't know :o

Yeah, I got to the middle and decided it was average but then several seconds later it showed potential :o

Have you yourself tried to send Sober? :o I (shamefully) did and probably was the 65th to have tried and failed as well. Naive me. LOL. Should've just sent that acoustic version ages ago :heehee:

Not at all. :o

I get the Russian and Ukraine airplay (yes, not sales) charts via the World Charts website. The chart has been updated now but...

Russia Top 100 <--- has slipped six places to #8 this week in Russia

Ukraine Top 40 <--- still a non mover at #2 after countless weeks

Latvia Top 50 <--- peaked at #4 in Latvia which led to the song peaking at #17 in the HIT30.

It's already been covered in the HIT30 thread that not all charts used are based on sales. It still gives a reasonable analysis of which songs are most popular in those countries.

Hmm, I wonder what chart it's smashing in then, do Russia have a sales chart?

Dangerous game Pavster, you should at least give the song a full listen before calling it average, especially seeing as in this case the second half of the song is miles better than the first half - especially the glorious instrumental outro

Nope I didn't try to send Sober! Brilliant song and a likely winner but I'm far from the biggest Loreen fan on BJ and it would have felt wrong somehow  I'm surprised you tried to send it, it's hardly the most inspired of entries considering how many people on BJ have been waiting on that leak! :o Lise was my first confirmation! The only other artist I had considered was Tove Styrke but whilst I love Call My Name, it's not really as good as White Light Moment hence I would have been dissatisfied with it as one of my entries. I think Brains Out would make for a more interesting/different entry anyway...

Ah well, thanks for clearing it up - I was of course joking when I suggested that you made it up :P I was already aware that you use some airplay charts to compile it.

Do you actually mean November 2010 or does the song remind you of the future :kink: if that makes sense

And about Video Games, I only remembered it was in my semi/the final for BJSC when you wrote in my chart. Like I said there, the first time I gave it a chance was "last night" whenever that was.

With One Direction I can see why lots of people here think it's great pop, I mean it's not try hard like what JLS is becoming with SMMW having as many popular 2011 lyrics in as possible, and The Wanted doing eurodance in all their songs. 1D just don't appeal to me :( I've had enough of boybands, but they're not gonna go away anytime soon :drama:

Haha, yes November 2010! I don't have a time machine sadly :(

Wow really! I wonder why it didn't make an impact on you (or 30 other voters :drama:) during BJSC. It was lucky to win considering that only 20 countries voted for it, it just got high marks from each one that did.

Fair enough, I don't mind boybands, The Wanted have had some good singles, JLS less so although I love Eyes Wide Shut and One Shot. SMMW is generic average rubbish. The One Direction song is at least incredibly catchy and the pop/rock sound hasn't been done by a proper 'no guitars' boyband for a long time.

Richard! :D

1. Maroon 5 feat Christina Aguilera - Moves Like Jagger (1) (CR-64-52-50-62-OUT-60-14-3-3-1-1-1) Surprised to see this holding up so well! :o It's gone off me a bit, but I'm glad they're getting continued success with it, as they really don't deserve to flop - their first album is probably one of my all-time favourites.

2. One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful (4) (CR-52-34-24-16-4-2)

40. Florence + The Machine - Shake It Out (NEW) (CR-40) This was much more instant for me than 'What the Water Gave Me' was - I'm surprised this is so low compared to the latter, which is now top 10 for you! :o It reminds me a bit of 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' in places, and 'Without You' as well (as made famous by Mariah Carey, not the Guetta/Usher song :P).

41. Enrique Iglesias feat Pitbull - I Like How It Feels (NEW) (CR-41)

74. Katy Perry - The One That Got Away (Re-entry) (CR-48-40) (CR-48-40-27-OUT-74)

I gave Ed Sheeran's album a listen earlier, and it was alright. There was a bit of a gap in quality towards the middle, but it picked up towards the end with my favourite non-single - 'The City'. Great chart overall :D
