August 3, 200618 yr most those remixes are pretty old... will check this out though (am a sucker for remixes)
August 3, 200618 yr it's definitely worth getting, some great remixes. Also worth purchasing is ANY Goldfrapp limited stuff - they're one of the most collectable bands around at the moment, and, even if it's to sell on eBay in a few months time, their new picture disc 7" is well worth getting when it comes out next month (strictly limited, so you may have to pre-order with the retailer). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v679/russy68/satinboysx400.jpg Great pic, too. For anyone who was in Goldfrapp's info service, and used to receive the card CD single cases they'd send before every single release - a few words of advice - KEEP THEM SAFE! They're currently selling for £25 - £30 on eBay - not bad for a free slipcase?!?!
August 3, 200618 yr I'll probably be getting this, as I have all 3 of the other album and I'm a big fan it's only right.
August 3, 200618 yr lemme know where you find a place to order that! I'll get one :) I'd try your local HMV or Virgin - or preferably your local independent retailer.
August 3, 200618 yr I got Supernature in the HMV Xmas sales and only listened yesterday (my bad ), but it's ****ing excellent :o I shall be buying this, even though they should throw something new in -_-
August 3, 200618 yr Rob... it's definitely worth checking out the first 2 Goldfrapp albums - both infinitely better than Supernature.
August 4, 200618 yr Rob... it's definitely worth checking out the first 2 Goldfrapp albums - both infinitely better than Supernature. I heard Felt Mountain was more elctro and Black Cherry laid back, with the two combining brilliantly on Supernature.
August 4, 200618 yr I heard Felt Mountain was more elctro and Black Cherry laid back, with the two combining brilliantly on Supernature. Nope, 'Black Cherry' was more electro and 'Felt Mountain' was chilled. 'Supernature' is basically a more commercial 'Black Cherry', but IMO 'Black Cherry' is the best and you must get it. :D
August 6, 200618 yr Rob... it's definitely worth checking out the first 2 Goldfrapp albums - both infinitely better than Supernature. Agreed, I always felt that "Supernature" was a bit underwhelming to be honest....
September 19, 200618 yr I do love Goldfrapp I usually hate Electronic music but how they fuse Dance with Indie is unbelieveable and really gives them appeal
September 20, 200618 yr I do love Goldfrapp I usually hate Electronic music but how they fuse Dance with Indie is unbelieveable and really gives them appeal To be honest, I aint sure where the 'Indie' element comes into Golfrapp... I've always seen them as coming out of that whole Bristol "Trip Hop" scene cos Alison used to collaborate with the likes of Tricky before going solo...
September 21, 200618 yr I managed to get one of the limited picture discs... they're already like gold dust by all accounts - watch them start to sell for outrageous prices on eBay very shortly. Supernature was, I reckon, a sell-out for Alison'n'Will... and I hope the new stuff will be back to the more filmic, gorgeous Felt Mountain stuff. I'll be getting the remix CD even if the mixes are just about all available elsewhere....
September 21, 200618 yr I got the picture disc too. Supernature was definetely more commercial and gimmicky compared the first 2 albums. I'll still be buying this aswell :D
September 22, 200618 yr Can't WAIT for this. The remixes of 'Ohh La La' and 'Strict Machine' are gonna be AMAZING.
September 23, 200618 yr Can't WAIT for this. The remixes of 'Ohh La La' and 'Strict Machine' are gonna be AMAZING. both the mixes are definitely amazing. I bought the Benny Benassi album a while back - it's not bad at all....
