September 30, 201113 yr In vino veritas  We could possibly get another comment like the Louis Walsh one :P
September 30, 201113 yr Thanks Gill and Julie, My mum listens to Steve if she's awake early enough  and she said that he had mentioned a couple of weeks ago that he had done four interviews in a day and that Will was one of them and that kept sneezing on him, so it must of been when Will was ill, I've been keeping my eye out for it and I'm glad we have a date now. :D
October 2, 201113 yr Author From listening to this it definitely sounds as if the Palladium is going to be a different more theatrical show.
October 2, 201113 yr Ignoring the start with Pop Idol talk this was in insightful and enjoyable interview. Some bits.. He's interested in writing a Musical..he's using an old story as a basis but wouldn't say which story as he didn't want to jinx it. He has worked out the lighting for his tour and he had a meeting based on Installations Artists using graphic but simple lighting but interesting to look at, This must be the Lighting meeting he mentioned a while ago. :D Steve Mentioned he was really 'hands on' with everything to which Will agreed, he said he's already seen the model of the tour set :D he's using some bits form the TV special on tour too. He has a set list but sometimes changes it at the start if he feels that he's losing the audience with a certain song and he will change it..normally after five days he will have to set list sorted and things flow easily. Mentioned the Christmas show and said he is really going theatrical..he's going sort of old school but have things like Disappearing boxes perhaps. using some elements from the TV show for this also, but he has to watch himself in case he over eggs it on tour and ends up taking away from the song which he says he has done before, but the Theatre Christmas show lends it self to be more in that vain. He's just got his record player working  and is listening to a lot of his parents music..Donny Hathaway soul at the moment. He doesn't try to recreate the studio sound of his songs on tour as you then go into karaoke and then you can just put on the album, he says he likes to bring the songs to life but also not change a song People want to hear too much especially a well known song and that it's about finding the balance. He never gets bored singing his songs. They talk about acting and that acting in theatre is adrenaline fueled but singing is far more adrenaline fueled and selfish as he is singing songs about things that he's written and he feels, Steve Mentions his album is from the Heart, and Will says they always are and then says my favorite quote in quite a while. "Yes Always, If i don't write from the Heart how can people believe it"? Edited October 2, 201113 yr by Sweetwilliamfan
October 3, 201113 yr Author Thanks for the summary Bev. "Yes Always, If i don't write from the Heart how can people believe it"? That struck me too.
October 3, 201113 yr Thanks Bev you have really put my mind at rest, when i heard it was a xmas show i was so disappointed because i really dislike that kind of thing...i dont want to pay to hear Will sing carols :P so i am a happy bunny again :cheer:
October 3, 201113 yr Didn't realise Will was on LBC, not that I think I could get it anyway. Thanks so much SWF for the synopsis. :D I so wish I could have just 10 mins with Will, just to chat. I think it would be so interesting. What's this about a Christmas Special. :???: I must have missed that. Or is it next Christmas? :???: And I do agree with his saying "If I don't write from the Heart how can people believe". So, so often nowadays you hear a singer who just sings (or tries to sing) the words, with no feeling whatsoever, as if they're reading from an article. Thank goodness for Will.
